After eating lunch at the lodge, we got in a long line going into the park. We bought tickets for the park and declined to get food to feed the animals (love the idea but hate attracting undo attention by big animals to my car). They hand out a nice map and guide for the animals you might see during your 30-60 minute drive.

I really enjoyed the way the animals were at this park esp the herds of bison, the water buffalo (in the water) and the longhorn cattle but nice seeing the ostrich, camels, deer, zebra and other animals walking around. The last park I went to did not allow passing but was happy to see you could do that here. You could pass people who wanted to stop and feed the animals and it gives more room to try avoid animals that you might worry might damage your car.

This was a nice drive and only got bottlenecked at the entrance to the back area as the elk greeted cars at there section trying to get the food before the other animals.

This place also has the option of taking a tour bus through with a guide so if you don't want to risk getting car damaged, you should try this route but make sure you get tickets ahead of time.

After hitting the park exit, we circled around and went to the petting zoo area which has goats, pigs, kangaroos, pheasants and a few others. The goats seem to particularly popular as you can feed them. This is a great place for kids to enjoy getting hands on with some of the animals

Both me and my girlfriend enjoyed this experience and recommend it. They are open Sat and Sun until Oct 11th so if want to go this year, make arrangements now

Took the grand kids the really enjoyed it got to feed many animals from the car . drive through the animals come up to your window to be fed . no big cats obviously but many herbivores some of there favorites was the bison the ostrich zebra and emu .suggest you hold the bucket outside the car they scoop the pellets out with there tongue a lot gets spilled [ lands inside the car ] hold onto the buckets the animals try to take it from you. the buss tour keeps your car clean. the petting zoo had mostly small goats mini ponies .
you have to buy the feed about a half gallon of pellets per bucket for the drive through .recommend one bucket per child as minimum
the restaurant was ok the food was good a few flies they seemed to be a little under staffed. had a good time grand kids had memories . worth the hour an a half drive to watch kids feed the critters

Amazing time at both the safari and small animal section! We went on the tour "bus". I was worried the kids wouldn't get up close as they would in our car but it was PERFECT. The driver went off the paths to get up close. The animals had a lot of room to roam. There were a lot of baby animals which were amazing to see. Todd, the guide, was helpful informative patient and safe. The kids (ages 4-12) and adults had an amazing time
Even the grounds in front of the building are nice just for strolling. Therws a bridge over a pond with food for purchase for the (giant) koi fish.
The small animals were great too. Lots of little goats to feed along with mini horses, pigs, and even some Kansas!

Staff were all friendly and helpful as well.

I’m not sure what a normal wait is when cars aren’t driving thru the park, but we arrived on a Sunday around 2:30 and our wait was about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Staff was wearing masks, not all customers but I don’t really care about that, there’s plenty of room to keep your distance. $33 for 2 adults and a 2 year old with a large bucket of pellets. Animals are average - nothing out of this world. The “small animal” petting zoo isn’t really worth $5 a person. It used to be included and it definitely should still be.
It’s ok if you want something to do, but I’d be hesitant if you have a larger family . A family of 6 would be approx $78 and I don’t see the value in that.
If you do go and if you buy pellets, save some until you get through the turn by the water as you’ll still pass by more bison, zebras, longhorns etc and most vehicles I noticed had went through all their feed, leaving nothing for the animals at the end.

We were 2 women and 2 elementary school girls. We had a riot feeding the animals. They came right up to the car, sticking their heads in for food, eating right out of our hands with their huge tongues. Buckets of food are reasonably priced. So fun! And a bit scary at first until we got used to it. We went through twice. Had lunch at the cafe - hot dogs & fries and one order of chicken fingers. They do need more options for kids, maybe grilled cheese and burgers. Capped off with Perry’s delicious ice cream. Then walked to the petting zoo to interact with goats, donkeys and Shetland ponies. The girls loved picking up the baby goats…don’t know how much the goats enjoyed it. The only complaint we had is that we didn’t know what several of the animals were. Would suggest they have a brochure with pictures for the kids (and the adults) to identify the animals. Could make it a game for the kids. Or if they don’t want the expense of the brochure, maybe a laminated sheet that can be turned in at the end. The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. There’s a pond with swans and koi fish. Very pretty. Highly recommend. 5 out of 5 stars.

2nd time there and wonderful but there was a down fall. We choose the bus ride for the experience! Unfortunately it was ruined by the drive thru on your own with your own car. We had to sit and wait several times for 20min at a time. If you are going to offer this system you need a better way to exceute it. Maybe have that option only during the week and bus safari only on weekends as that is when you are busiest...kinda tiok away the fun experience:(

Also, the downstairs bathrooms werent working we we did not know that as there we no signs!!! The one lady working was beyond rude to us! Not a great way to be welcomed back and start the tour!!!!

It was a fun and educational day for everyone involved from grandkid, parents and grandparents. Our guide Dan, is funny but full of interesting facts about the animals and their habitats. He addresses his comments to everyone on the bus. The animals were cooperative and hungry. The camels are hysterical. Fun was had by all eleven of us. The Petting Zoo is great for the younger grandkids.
The cafeteria and restrooms are spotless and well maintained. It is a gem for inexpensive fun!! Thank you Hidden Valley for all the fun we had.

What an amazing place! We opted to take the "jungle wagon" instead of driving through. The animals are free roaming. They have many varieties of 4 legged animals, and they also have some Emu, Ostrich (she just laid some eggs so she wasn't very pleasant). There is a zoo area, you can go in and pet the goats, and they also have 2 Kangaroo !
We loved it!

What an affordable hidden gem Hidden Animal Adventure is. We took the covered wagon ride and it was awesome. Our tour guide was so thorough and had so much information about the animals. The animals were amazing. To be able to be so close to such wild animals is such a sublime experience. I recommend this adventure to everyone of all ages. You can drive through at your own leisure but I really recommend the wagon ride for the tour guides knowledge of the animals. Loved it!!!

Really fun Mother’s Day for our all age family group. We arrived at our reserved time and had no wait. The animals seemed healthy and friendly. We drove our cars and did get a dent from one large Bison. The petting zoo was very entertaining, good variety of critters. The grounds are clean and attractive. Ended our stay with lunch at the trail side restaurant, quick and satisfying for adults and kids. What a nice day!
