From the moment that we stepped into the Union Station, I realized that this was going to be an amazing adventure: 9:00 a.m - 7:00 p.m... a wonderful vacation day in NYS. The ride was beautiful. We left drought stricken central NY, and saw rain in Adirondack Park. The ride was comfortable and so scenic. We had 3 hours in... More

This is the third time I have been on this railway in two years. I have started at different points and have gone in three seasons. It is such a beautiful experience to ride through the mountains and see the waterways....

Besides it's beautiful architecture and wooden benches, this is a number 1 (one) location for photo shoots for weddings, graduations and more! I've watched a special on TV about railroad stations and they said that this was the most expensive station to build to this date! Knowing that, I feel that I don't have a reason to say anything else... More

It is wonderful to have it here. I just hope they can keep it going. All volunteers. All kinds of trips. For kids & adults. Polar express, train robbery show them the wonder of a train right here in Utica. Adults wine train with stop at restaurant, can rent train for activites . Fall is big when the colors are... More

Don't expect too much modern, and be glad there are toilets (the original had a hole over the tracks). Still, it's reasonably priced and a good way to go with out driving. Talk to the staff, most of them are volunteers who love trains and love the areas these trains serve. Don't be late! Trains pretty much run on time.

This was a very nice adventure for the whole family. Our group included my daughter, her fiance and my 5-year-old grandson along with myself, of course. We decided to do the coach 4:30 train as we figured it would be better for the grandson. We live an hour from the station and didn't think the later first class train would... More

Cocoa Class IS worth the extra money!! I went with my two daughters, my parents and a friend with her son. The train station is decorated and there are many things to do while waiting for the train; snowball fights, coloring and the elves entertaining people.. Also, the tickets look JUST like the ones from the movie. Then, once aboard(first... More

I can't say I wouldn't have enjoyed the coach cars. I'm sure the attraction is the trip. The kids had a great time just being on a train. I'm just glad for the little extras that come in Cocoa Class. The cars were clean. The elves were friendly. The mugs and bells were quality items and didn't feel cheap. As... More

Excellent polar express trip! The kids loved it as did the adults. Well worth the drive up to Utica. Nice train station but a little creepy at night with wandering people but stay together and enjoy the scenic railroad
