Wonderful instructors
Feb 2021 • Family
Brought three kids for lessons, ages 8,8 and 9. The instructors were so supportive and patient with them. They all had a great experience and want to go again. We skiied while the kids were in lessons, all of the trails were nicely groomed, and overall we had a wonderful day!

Could’ve been better
Jan 2021
My husband and went skiing today to take advantage of a beautiful sunny day! I have been a pass holder and skier at Lab my entire life 45+ years! Management was making snow on Cutthroat so unfortunately it was closed. Snow was great on Muzzle and Jacopi but lots of chunks on Minipi. Ptarmigan was finally open so we ventured on over. Trail had not been groomed overnight so there were piles of snow, ice and bare spots. Shame on the management! With the money paid to buy a pass, every trail should be groomed nightly and trails should be open daily for skiing. Make snow after the lifts are closed. The skiers should be the primary focus. Miss the old days where the customer was first!

Get organized!
Jan 2021
Fed up with this place. I drive a long way to race NASTAR here (otherwise there's little to do on the mountain). Of my last four trips, two races were canceled (despite my calling and being told that the race was happening), once we actually got to race, but times were never uploaded to NASTAR, then today, after being told on arrival that the race would "start late", we waited two hours and THEN the race was canceled (the course was never groomed!). Money and time lost. Figure out what you're doing, and communicate it accurately to customers! I'll never come here again.

Rude Rude and More Rude
Jan 2021
My son 14 year old son went to the ski hill for his birthday. His sister took him and purchased him a lift ticket and a rental. The total cost for this was $76.00. After approximately 1.5 hours of skiing, my son noticed that his lift pass was missing. He went to the office and gave his name and asked for a new pass. He was told by the office that there was no record of him and would not be offered a new lift ticket. He was told that he was trying to steal and that they would press charges if he was found skiing. My daughter called to try and rectify this misunderstanding and they were equally as rude to her and told her that she could call and speak to the manager. When I called spoke to the manager, "Sheila", she was equally as rude as the staff was, zero customer satisfaction.

not aimed at beginners
Feb 2019 • Family
The more-experienced boarder in the group liked this place a lot. The beginner skiers didn't find a lot to enjoy.

It was our first visit, and I had some greens-only skiers with me, so I asked a guy in a ski patrol jacket for a recommendation of what makes a good warm-up run. He pointed us to a run that, when we got there, turned out to be a black diamond. We found an easier trail down, but that colored our experience there. There was a lot of ice, and not a lot of true-green options. I bet if there had been more powder and less icy or near-bare spots, intermediate and better skiers would enjoy this place. I know the more-experienced folks in the group found a few runs they could enjoy. Everyone had a good-enough time, in the end. I think we'll spend more time at Song until all the kids are solid on blues before we try Lab again, though.

Ski and Last Run bar
Feb 2019 • Couples
We were skiing here. This is one of the smaller CNY ski areas. It has some runs for all levels of ability. It is a good family spot and they cater to school groups. The staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful. Prices are competitive. They offer lockers in a couple sizes and a ski shop that can help with any equipment needs.
The main lodge has a restaurant but I have never eaten there. In a separate building they have another restaurant and a bar. I have eaten there twice. It has been really busy both times I have been there.
They offer bar seating, booths and tables. Just select what you like; there isn't a hostess, or at least I never saw one. Eventually someone will wait on you or go to the bar for yourself.
They have a good selection of beers, some local and other drinks.
The food is definitely all bar style, heavy on cook from frozen state. I had chili one time and it was good. Very mild flavored and full of meat. It was flavorful but not spicy at all. Their prices are competitive with any regional ski area restaurant.
Lots of families come out and lots of teens can sometimes be around.

Skiing here this year has been great even with the lack of snow. The Last Run Restaurant is what I’m reviewing is a gem. The scallops and the Burger we had we’re delicious. The burger was a buffalo sauce burger topped with blue cheese Absolutely delicious. The fries were also good. Wife had the scallops that were to die for. Great spot for lunch or dinner after skiing or not skiing.

Rude Management, Refused to Refund Unused Equipment
Jan 2018 • Friends
Our group went to Labrador for a fun day of skiing. We had rented our equipment, but were notified of an unforeseen circumstance and had to leave. We asked for a refund and we were rebuffed in one of the most rude ways I have ever encountered. We had not even tried on the boots to see if they had fit nor had we left the rental shop, yet they still refused to give us our refund. They claimed that they could only give us a credit for another day, but we are not from this area and were unlikely to return anytime in the next few years. They continued to refuse and said that they could only give us a credit. THIS IS BLATANT FRAUD AND THEFT. They said they would call the owner and asked us to wait 10 minutes if we wanted to ask for a refund. "Peter", the owner, came in an hour and a half later and refused to refund us our money and could give us a credit for another day because "that was the best that he could do." The owner and the staff were unwilling to be reasonable and give us back the money that they had taken from us without being given any value. I called my credit card company and had the charge cancelled. I walked away without having to fork over my money, but not because the management was kind enough to do the right thing. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.

Skiing and The Last Run Bar and Restaurant
Jan 2018 • Friends
The skiing is always good here and specifically The Last Runs Food is very good. My wife and recently split a burger and it was delicious. The menu was changed I believe last year and everything we and our friends have had has been excellent. The service from the wait staff has also been great. The Bartenders also excellent especially Sharon.

Not the best for beginners
Mar 2017 • Friends
This is a good mountain for more experienced skiers but has almost no green runs for beginners. The instructor was great with my son but he had to climb the hill to learn since there was no tow rope or conveyor belt like the other mountains. After his lesson, he was so tired that he didn't want to try anymore. The others in my group enjoyed the blue and black runs but the green slopes they did have all tier into blue or black slopes, making it very intimidating for beginners. I wish they would put in a small lift/bunny slope like all the other places I've been. Recommend only if you are experienced.
