My husband and went skiing today to take advantage of a beautiful sunny day! I have been a pass holder and skier at Lab my entire life 45+ years! Management was making snow on Cutthroat so unfortunately it was closed. Snow was great on Muzzle and Jacopi but lots of chunks on Minipi. Ptarmigan was finally open so we ventured on over. Trail had not been groomed overnight so there were piles of snow, ice and bare spots. Shame on the management! With the money paid to buy a pass, every trail should be groomed nightly and trails should be open daily for skiing. Make snow after the lifts are closed. The skiers should be the primary focus. Miss the old days where the customer was first!

Skied there on a recent Monday, was pleasantly surprised at how good the conditions were. It was groomed well. Tried Ptarmigan, but sadly hadn’t been groomed Sunday night which makes no sense to me. Went to the Puffin Bird after skiing for some food and drink. Chowder was bland, lukewarm and the potatoes were hard. Had some flatbread pizza which was of the pre-made frozen kind. Food used to be excellent but no longer is that the case. Draft beer had no head. They remodeled the place and took away all the previous character and atmosphere, now a very boring and sterile looking environment. Probably won’t go in there again. 2 hour senior lift ticket of $49 is ridiculously overpriced. Very expensive for a family to go for a day.

The more-experienced boarder in the group liked this place a lot. The beginner skiers didn't find a lot to enjoy.

It was our first visit, and I had some greens-only skiers with me, so I asked a guy in a ski patrol jacket for a recommendation of what makes a good warm-up run. He pointed us to a run that, when we got there, turned out to be a black diamond. We found an easier trail down, but that colored our experience there. There was a lot of ice, and not a lot of true-green options. I bet if there had been more powder and less icy or near-bare spots, intermediate and better skiers would enjoy this place. I know the more-experienced folks in the group found a few runs they could enjoy. Everyone had a good-enough time, in the end. I think we'll spend more time at Song until all the kids are solid on blues before we try Lab again, though.

And blatantly lying to the press, taboot! No chance everyone was down by 430, and they knew exactly the cause of it. Peter needs to be called out on this. This falls squarely on him, and he has the audacity to post a completely tone deaf message to cap off the weekend while at the same time lying to the public about it? There were plenty of us there who knew about it and saw the cable off the rails with our own eyes. Hell, the other lift operators knew about it and were talking about it like they’ve been waiting for this day. CNY Winters’ evil villain, the prince of not caring, Peter Powder Poacher strikes again! Likely the best ski weekend we’re going to get this winter, and it’s marred in shame and lies. Shame! Shame! Shame!

Fed up with this place. I drive a long way to race NASTAR here (otherwise there's little to do on the mountain). Of my last four trips, two races were canceled (despite my calling and being told that the race was happening), once we actually got to race, but times were never uploaded to NASTAR, then today, after being told on arrival that the race would "start late", we waited two hours and THEN the race was canceled (the course was never groomed!). Money and time lost. Figure out what you're doing, and communicate it accurately to customers! I'll never come here again.

Brought three kids for lessons, ages 8,8 and 9. The instructors were so supportive and patient with them. They all had a great experience and want to go again. We skiied while the kids were in lessons, all of the trails were nicely groomed, and overall we had a wonderful day!

The groomers have done a wonderful job this season overall especially being under staffed. We go to ski so the apres ski thing is not important to us. We have been season ticket holders for years and appreciate the hard work it takes to make the slopes skiable especially in central NY and with the challenges brought on by the pandemic. We do stop for lunch and the food has been good, the chili especially so.

We decided to change from my hometown mountain (Song) to Lab this year. The reason: price! However, i am extremly happy with the moutain in general, the ski passes we got (Shift Passes) were very affordable and the ski rental rate you get is amazing as we are renting for our 7year old son until he decides if he wants to ski or snowboard. I will say though this may not be the best hill for beginners as there is no real kids slope. My son had skied previously so we put him on the lift and took him to the top and he was fine, not really sure how he will do when he begins snowboarding (this week), but i am sure he will be fine. We also found that the lines at night were very reasonable and not out of control

The instructors come back year to year to teach and what they say locally about the ski school is true...it is simply the best program Central New York has to date.

The Wilson's take pride in their hill - keeping it well groomed for skiers and boarders. Friendly staff, family comes first, fantastic instructors and helpful patrollers. Best place to ski in central NY.
