I get to this store one day a year, when I come to the area for Rhinebeck. I always save some money to "play" at Fab. They are packed with some of the best quality yarns available. Knitter/crocheters might want to go with a project in mind, but you can always do like I do and go with your heart. The staff are FUN. Even when the store is packed, they keep their senses of humor and make a crowded shop comfortable. I've also ordered online and the level of service is just as good. They have copious amounts of yarn in the back, so always ask if you don't find enough on the shelves. Needle selection is excellent, and I lust after their bag selection. It's a good thing I live 350 miles away, or I'd be in serious shopping trouble.

This is my favorite yarn store in the entire Hudson Valley. I have been to them all and this shop offers the most variety of quality yarns. I feel like a kid in a candy store. The staff is very helpful also. It’s a great day trip as it’s located in a cute little town with good restaurants.

Not bad if you like knitting-but the store has a rack if pretty sweaters but they are not for sale-but you can look at them as samples-said the shopgirl
This makes no sense but be aware this town is like a bad version of Woodstock-they actually think they are hippies from the sixties- even the college kids look spaced out!

Enormous selection of yarn and fiber art accessories. So many cases, bags, kneedles and yarn bowls, but even more great yarns in every color imaginable. The real star is the always helpful and knowledgeable staff. They can answer knitting questions, help find the right yarn and willing to pull out bags of every color to help you find the perfect skein. Don't let the small storefront fool you, their selection is huge and it's too easy to spend hours there!

I always visit Fab Yarn after a day at Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool. It is, without hesitation, the best way to end the day(s). How they manage to fit such a large selection of fiber brands into a relatively small shop defies physics, and the owners are on hand to help you with your choices. They are warm, inviting, and FUNNY! If I lived full-time anywhere near Tivoli, I'd be broke. I love this place!

Love this store, I travel over an hour to get there, by-passing several other stores that don't compare. Fabulous Yarn is truly fabulous!

I visited this shop after NY Sheep and Wool last year. A little off the beaten path but it is so worth it. The selection is unbelievable and the vibe is happy and nutty at the same time. Everyone was having a great time and the staff was great.
The shop Is nestled in the cutest little town so make an afternoon of it. Add to your stash and then have a great dinner at one of the many restaurants on the Main Street.

I visit yarn shops when I travel whether domestically or internationally and I'm always pleased when I find something new and/or special. Fab carries a great selection of yarn and supplies and is discerning which I appreciate. This area is a knitters dream and this shop is a must stop.

Set in a beautiful picturesque village, you will find a wonderful shop with an abundance of yarn for any project you are considering. Not sure what you would like to make, but love the yarn you found? Help is available from a knowledgeable and friendly staff. I have shopped here often and am never disappointed 😃

I was at a nearby festival so you'd have thought I'd had enough shopping for the day. But no. This little shop was close so I figured I'd stop in. They had a great yarn selection with some truly gorgeous Artyarns colors that I had to have. The staff was really friendly helping me decide which colors for the projects I had in mind. The shop is small, but has everything a fiber crafter could want. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop in.
