TTMH, despite all of the charity efforts aimed at its preservation/renovation, remains an antiquated, dusty, dirty facility. Although it maintains a certain amount of raw charm, even that seems to have steadily faded. That said, they can still secure some good acts and attract a reasonable crowd. However, similar venues like The Capital Theater in Port Chester and the Paramount Theater in Peekskill, to a lesser degree, offer a superior concert/show experience.

Amazing venue. Small in a good way. Hard wood floors and vaulted ceilings. They get a great line up of acts. Volunteers are exceptionally helpful. Security is aggressive - entry is like TSA at the airport in terms of volume. Staff chatter throughout show was a distraction. Consider center aisle versus side to avoid them

My wife and I attended the Marc Maron show last night and had a very good time. Aside from the great performance, the theater seats were comfortable and although we had the 2 isle seats on the far right, our sightlines were very good. The staff is nice. Bathrooms in need of an upgrade. Parking easy to find.

Been there many times to see different musical groups. Close to home, good prices and good selection of shows. Going tonight to see Air Supply & looking forward to a great show!

The TMH is one of my favorite music venue. The acoustics are great and always a good crowd in attendance. Great location, even coming from NJ, and plenty of nice restaurants in the immediate area for a pre-show meal or drinks. Can't wait for the next concert there!

Not the best....the balcony has the worst seats that I've ever been to!! very tight and uncomfortable....Hiatts' voice is struggling, and they told more stories than played music!

Too many people crashing the aisles and standing right in our way, making it useless to pay for good seats.

Built in 1855 it is a wonderful reminder of the long history of Tarrytown. The acoustics are powerful and it is a popular place for concerts and definitely worth a visit. Seating is a bit tight and some seats are not very comfortable. It is a pity that the inside renovation has not been done. The theater is community run and they raise money through the concerts. It would be helpful if the state or local bodies could get involved in funding refurbishment.

What'snot to like? It is a medium-sized theater built with the charm of yesteryear. They get lots of good groups playing there. We have been there many, many times and will be there many more.

We are members here. The theater is very old and that shows in the size of the seats but also is a huge part of the charm. The sound is very good and the balcony is close to the stage affording some of the best views I have seen since the Schaefer Music Festival (you old enough?). There is a problem with certain shows that inconsiderate idiots rush the stage or get up to dance (this is a concert venue, not Studio 54 and I can't see through you) and block the view of those in the orchestra level, although that happens everywhere now that the participation trophy generation of rudeness is upon us. The venue staff needs to do a better job there. Parking is good if you don't insist on parking on main street. Otherwise, get there early and bring quarters before 6pm. there are several good places to have dinner beforehand after you have parked your car. Something for everyone up and down Main Street and just north on Rte. 9. Makes for a great, affordable evening. My only complaint is personal. the shows are mostly "soft" music. Whoever books the act seems to forget that music moved beyond museum jazz and folk music and that solid body electrics once ruled the world. For higher energy acts (Al DiMeola, Allan Holdsworth, Joe Bonamassa, Winery Dogs, etc.) see the Ridgefield Playhouse in CT. Just check the website for shows and get tickets the day they go on sale if you find something that floats your personal boat. Worth a visit for dinner and a show anytime of year

Is there handicap parking close to the venue?

What hotels are in walking distance to this venue?
Written September 21, 2018
As in most venues, the seats close to the stage on the sides aren't so great. It's a medium-sized venue, so all the other seats in the orchestra are good, as is the front of the balcony. If you want really good seats, stay in the center of the orchestra within the first 15 rows. Hope this helps.

Oops I forgot to mention which month for the 28th & 29th. We will be there July 28th & 29th.
Written May 29, 2016
I guess you're inquiring about shows the end of July...as someone else stated, check out the website. Have a great time in the Hudson Valley!

Isn't there anything playing from July 22nd until September? We will be in Tarrytown 28th & 29th. Is there anything playing during these dates?
Thank you ,
Kathleen

How far is the metro north station from the theatre? Is it safe at night?
Written May 12, 2015
(Metro-North Hudson Line)
Take Metro-North Railroad's Hudson Line from Grand Central Station to Tarrytown going in the direction of Croton-Harmon or Poughkeepsie. The Music Hal is a five-minute walk from the train station. Taxis are also available at the station.
