- Maltipoo16New York1,146 contributionsSo much funHad free passes for the VIP ticket but only had an hour and a half to spend. Wish we had more time. We only got through the museum portion. Never got to the laser tag or canyon climb. We had a great time though, definitely wish we had more time to finish, as the ticket was only valid for one day once we redeemed it. The museum portion was so much fun, each exhibit was so hands on and fun for even adults. Definitely will visit again!Visited January 2020Traveled with familyWritten January 9, 2020
- C653ZWruthcRochester, New York51 contributionsSomething DifferentHad a great time. Something for all ages. A lot of families but no lines to go through exhibits. Once in all experiences are free of charge Coat charge I thought was high at $2 per coat. My 5 yr old coat is small and could be stored with mine. Found coupons online which saved some money.Visited February 2020Traveled with familyWritten February 19, 2020
- Molly R3 contributionsEpicDespite the optical illusions messing with the smaller members of our group, we had an absolute blast. we were able to do everything we wanted to and more. Staff was friendly and helpful. Went with a school group k-12. We easily spent three hours in there. Something for all ages. So much to see! Honestly, it was an amazing adventure.Visited June 2021Written June 24, 2021

- Lisa B49 contributionsNot worth the moneyWe were disappointed with our visit in July 2022. We went during the week and a lot of the simulator ride type exhibits did not have a worker at them. There was also multiple exhibits not working or under construction. My kids did love the 4d theatre, the worker at that spot was wonderful. For $60 for the three of us to go, I did not feel like it was worth the money at all. We have been there before but this time with all the things not running, it was not worth our money.Visited July 2022Written July 28, 2022

- SyracuseFamily41 contributionbirthday party disasterWe were very excited to have our daughters bday party at Wonderworks Syracuse and couldn't believe how badly it went. We started out very well with a person who greeted us and then took us to our room. We had pizza and presents and then we were told to have the kids wait in the party room until after we paid for the party. Here is where things went terribly wrong. After spending 20 minutes at the counter trying to pay for the party where they couldn't seem to find us and giving us the wrong amount we got through that and then went back to party room. We left the party room and that is the end of having a wonderworks party planner and you are on your own. So we got all 18 kids in line for lazer tag and found out we would need to break them into two groups so we did that no problem. We waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes in line before the kids were able to do 1 game of lazer tag. We had purchased and extra game for each kid but they ended up not having enough time to do it. So we had two people wait in line for the canyon climb for the entire party as the lines were so long and it had taken so long to get through laser tag. We waited in line and got to the front and told three separate employees working the course what we were doing and they seemed fine with it. As the kids were finishing up lazer tag the manager came over and said - you cant do that. At this point we had been in line for 1 hour and 1/2 and the kids had only done one 5 minute game of laser tag and it was 2 1/2 hours into the party. We thought a party 12:30 -4:00 would be appropriate for 1 game of laser tag and climbing since that is what we were told to allot. So now it was 3:00pm and we were almost out of time. After much discussion we were able to convince the manager to allow at least the 11 young ones on the ropes course. He did but would not accommodate the other 7 guests in our party so they had to go get in the line again and it took another hour for them to get in the air. The worst birthday party ever-we have done the Most, the Zoo, Ice Skating, Swimming, YMCA, Pottery Place, and Shades of Orange. This one cost more than any of the other ones and was very unsatisfactory.Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments in regards to the birthday party that you had at WonderWorks. Here at WonderWorks we value and appreciate all of our guests, and want to make each person's experience positive and fun! Much like other entertainment attractions we too can experience high volume attendance which sometimes can cause longer than normal wait times. It is feedback like yours that helps us improve. - Chris ESkaneateles, New York31 contributionsSafety concernsAfter having a birthday party for my son I have some concerns. If you plan on having a birthday party, have enough parents to help you. I was told there would be an employee at the exit so no children could leave the wonder works area, NOT true. A safer system needs to be put in place so children cannot exit without there parent or adult they are with. The attendant asked me if we would open gifts, considering you only get an hour in the room, I stated NO. I went over to the table to get my camera and turned around and heard the attendant say to my son, time for presents. After I picked my jaw off the floor, not to upset my son, I allowed him to open his gifts. When our hour was up,we were basically rushed out of the room. I was told that they would take the gifts and coats and put them in a locker and had 2 hours for our locker. After our 2 hours in wonder works they rolled the locker outside in the mall hall area with an attendant. Basically telling us, times up and leave. Extremely disappointing, will NOT go back and will DEFINITELY not recommend for a birthday party.Dear Guest, thank you for expressing your concerns in regards to your sons birthday party that you recently had. Here at WonderWorks we do value all of our guests feedback and will strive address all of your concerns. I do apologize that you felt rushed from the birthday room and will look into other ways to help streamline this process upon arrival. Not to say there isnt lots to see and do but if I had to do it all again I would order pizza to eat out in the mall area & just buy the tickets to go in. We felt like we were a part of an assembly line being rushed along & pushed from one point to the next. Not to mention we had an incident where a member of our party was late & the staff refused to help them find us ( we were in the party room) & made them pay for the child, the mom looking for us & the 2 year old she couldn't leave alone outside when she wandered around looking for us. The employee was rude to us & we later caught her talking about us to other employees. All in all it was a VERY DISAPPOINTING day.Thank you for contacting us about your experience with your child's birthday party event here at WonderWorks. - E L RSyracuse, New York1 contributionVERY LOUDThe exhibits are interesting. I would have enjoyed it much more if the level of sound wasn't cranked so high. I almost couldn't get my 7 year old to go inside. He enjoyed some of the exhibits but generally speaking he was overwhelmed by the intense sound levels. I don't think we spent more than an hour and a half inside before we gratefully escaped to the low level hum of the mall. The price was too high for the amount of time we spent inside. (> $70 for 2 adults and a child) I can imagine older kids would really enjoy the ropes course. But that costs extra.Thank you for your feedback. First brought our children while visiting family a year and a half ago to do the Canyon Climb Adventure. They loved it and we promised to bring them back when it fit our budget. Imagine being given a coupon for a bogo, keeping it a secret from the children until the last day of your family visit, walking through the door as they realize they will get to do something they have asked to do every time you are in town and seeing a sign stating that Wonder Works will not be honoring their own coupon because of a summer special they are running. I understand not combining the summer special with the coupon, but when we offered to pay the regular price in order to use the coupon we were told that was impossible. If it wouldn't have devastated my children I would have walked out, but knowing how much they have looked forward to this I just couldn't break their hearts over a lousy coupon policy. I knew the coupon was too good to be true and I won't be fooled again by a company that won't honor their own coupons, nor will they be receiving any more of my future business!

I came here with my family while we were up in Syracuse. My cousins absolutely love WonderWorks, and they wanted to bring us. So, we went in the early afternoon and ended up spending hours here. It was incredible! Each room was filled with amazing activities. There was something for everyone to do, no matter their age. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Syracuse!

My wife and I decided to spend a day at the Carousel Center, checking out Wonderworks in the process. Ropes course was a blast but neither of us were impressed with the rest of the museum: loud, overstimulating, and the science content of many of the exhibits was dubious at best (TV theme songs, 4D haunted house movie, etc...) We also both agreed that $25 a head for an attraction that took maybe an hour tops to walk through was excessive.
If you're looking for a science museum, there are plenty of top-notch alternatives in CNY at a fraction of the price.

Thank you for your feedback about your recent visit to WonderWorks. The ropes course is an amazing time allowing you to walk throughout the new Canyon area of Destiny USA suspended 70- feet in the air. I am sorry that you did not enjoy yourself in our exhibits as we have over 100 hands on exhibits that range from a 4D theater, Maxflight Roller Coaster Simulator as well as the Astronaut trainer allowing you to feel the what a actual astronaut would on re entry. WonderWorks value comes from admissions allowing our guests to come and go as many times as they would like in the course of a day, so if you wanted to break for lunch or a little shopping you can come back when you are done. If you like us on facebook we have special offers that come up all the time. I do hope that you will come back to visit us when we get our new exhibit the 1st of the year.

You will probably have to pay for the museum, but not for the ropes course or laser tag if your grandkids do those activities.

There is something to do in WonderWorks for all ages!!! Your teenagers will have a great time at WonderWorks. A few of our more popular exhibits are our 360 bike, our XD motion theater, our virtual roller coaster, ropes challenge course, and laser tag.

Jenna - that's a hard question to answer. I spent about 2 hours as a 25 year old with my also adult boyfriend. We did each item once and moved along. I would say 3-4 to be safe!

My kids are 10 and 7. Do my wife and I have to pay to go with them? And what are the benefits of buying the combo tickets online?

Think of it like a combo meal at Wendy's or McDonalds. The combo deal is cheaper than individually priced items and gives you aa sample of three activities. I don't like doing the ropes course, but still purchase package deal cause it's the same as doing two activities.
Thinking about visiting next week while up there for Monster Jam. Just wondering what the height requirements are for some of the attractions? I have a three year old and just wondering if it's worth it. I don't want him to be disappointed that he can't do certain activities. Please let me know! Thanks
