We have seen a couple of shows here and wish Syracuse had a better venue. The renovations done a couple of years ago make the place shine, but the core problem remains - space. I am not a particularly large man, but the seats are...More

Reminiscent of the art decco period, The Landmark, once a movie theatre in downtown Syracuse, was built in the 1920's. After suffering the blight of the city, it survived demolition and eventually was renovated in the 1970's. The site of concerts and other stage events,...More

As most of these reviews are stating, the seating is very bad.. The next time that I go to this theater, I will spend the extra money to sit down in the orchestra section and not the balcony. Once you are seated in the middle...More

The inside of this theatre is just stunning. Very ornate with lots of gold and bright colors. Its a good size and plenty of seats. I thought the seats were comfortable enough...they are close to each other which is typical...a little on the small size....More

The Landmark is amazing. The ornate interior with it's Moroccan flavor and gilt-painted woodwork is a feat for the eyes. Such beautiful lighting fixtures , handrails, mirrors and tiles are just as enthralling as any show on the stage. Went to see "Wicked" in March...More

We went to see "Wicked" on March 25. It was an amazing show and the theater was beautiful. I had read that the seats were uncomfortable, but we thought they were fine. Parking is very convenient just a few blocks away. We will definitely go...More

Five of us visited to see Wicked. While we enjoyed the show and the stunning esthetics, the seats are desperately uncomfortable and the air becomes hot and stagnant very quickly. It was a joy to perform at Landmark years ago but we will not be...More

Went to this theatre for the first time to see the show Wicked on a Sunday afternoon. The theatre is gorgeous! We found event parking (just follow the signs) that was outdoor and $10. I heard there are several parking garages to utilize as well,...More

Although the play was fantastic, seats are terrible. I am 5'10" and I could not sit up straight in the seat. I paid $39 to sit sideways with my knees pushed up in my chest. So uncomfortable. The theater should be ashamed of themselves, asking...More

I believe so. We were on an upper level for Matilda & it was great! The theatre seating is not super deep like it is at the civic center.
