A lot bigger then expected for the price and looks small when you first go in. We were visiting NYC and choose to get ferry over for a visit. Cheep taxi from ferry port and zoo was included in out new york pass.

Love this little zoo! The Staten island zoo is a neat little place with a lot of fun exhibits. Some rotate, which makes it more fun. Never a bad time.

The Staten Island Zoo is better than ever. The exhibits are much better now with an emphasis of getting close to animals. there are many programs manned by volunteers which make it a community effort.

Food is really good. We enjoyed the three fish antipasto. The smoked muscles and salmon were great. The smoked lox was really good too.

Great lizard exhibit and those small monkeys are a hoot. Nice small zoo on Staten Island that's also known to house Staten Island Chuck, our version of the winter predicting rodent.

The Zoo staff works very hard to keep the animals happy and healthy. I appreciate the care they take to stimulate the animals, educate the public, decorate for the holidays, and expand their park. I've loved this zoo since I was a little girl and...More

It only takes a couple of hours to walk through the entire zoo but with a small child you can double that. The exibits are well kept and there are plenty of things to see. I would definitely recommend it if you have small children.
