I thought we would stop here simply because we were driving over the bridge and saw it. Other reviews are correct. Not much to see here. Ten minutes and we were done.

Have been in the area many times - but never stopped to view the cave before. A bit disappointed because of the changes to the river as it would have looked back in the 1700s because of the dam and the buildup along the banks....More

Do not waste your time. NY State obviously over funded this. A couple plaques and a hydro electric plant. Grrr!

Nothing too fancy here but something worth taking the time to learn about and see. You’ll see the cave under the Falls mentioned by the author James Fenimore Cooper in his book The Last of the Mohicans

Servers were always looking out for any table needing anything. To filling up a cup of coffee or a ice tea. When dinner came it was piping hot and delicious.

Thought it would be interesting to see the cave that inspired James Fenimore Cooper. Walked down the hill only to find an overlook to see waterfalls and drainage from a hydroelectric company. Not worth the trip.

Difficult to find and not worth going out of your way for, but the information signs give a good background. This location is claimed to be the inspiration for James Fenimore Cooper's cave scene in his book 'The Last of the Mohicans'. Not much to...More

Hard to find and very disapointing. Hydro electric plant ruined it. Read the book and use your imagination.

Hard to find; no markings to show you where the actual cave is; not much to see if you happen to figure out where to look for the cave. Historical markers were informative, but I didn't need to navigate a walk bridge beside a hydro...More
