A great beach

The beach is beautiful! I take my granddaughter at least 4 or five times a month. The cost is $15 a bit steep. Nice playground for children.

Clean water, easy to wade your way into the ocean, and very clean for a public beach. There's free live music nearby during the summer which attracts a local crowd. Fun, unpretentious vibe. Felt safe leaving my beach stuff to go on a walk, that said, I took my phone with me.

As a resident of Suffolk county it's so nice to have so many beach choices. One of the most relaxed atmospheres is smith point beach. You can fish under the bridge. Launch you boat. Drive to the Moriches inlet, camp under the stars, or just frolic in the ocean or the bay. What more can one ask for!!!!

The beach is nicely renovated. Enormous amount of sand was pumped from sand bars in the Atlantic ocean to the beach.

We had a great day at the Smith Point beach. Luckily the crowds were minimal and the weather, surf and sand were great. The beach can handle tons of people, so it didn't feel crowded. The service and life guards were friendly and gave top service. A great day at the beach!

I love this place. We spend a week here every year the beach is excellent and shopping, laundry and everything you could possibly need is nearby. There is entertainment at night, playgrounds firs little ones and fishing. The camp sites have a concrete pad, fire pit, and picnic table. Often difficult to get into a good space the big spaces... This was our first (and only) visit to a beach on Long Island so I do not have anything to compare it to. This beach was huge and handled the masses very well. Lots of lifeguards. Clean sand. Large restrooms. Large snackbar (did not partake). Live music. We would certainly go back.

The local population is interesting the beach is cleaned daily the life guards are a bit overbearing stopping the kids from having fun and chasing kids out of the water way past beach limits

We stopped this weekend at Smith Point Beach. It was a cold windy day, but it was great to see the surf. The were preparing the beach and sand for summer.
