Imagine getting to vote for your elected officials in a beautiful historical place and simultaneously get to view art work by the area’s local artists? Those of us lucky enough to call this community home, are very fortunate. The Setauket Neighborhood House hosts many community events including weekly bridge games. It is also available for rent for private parties. My friend had her husband’s 70th birthday party here and I hosted my daughter’s baby shower here. This gem was gifted to the community over 100 years ago. It is available for individual or group rentals for everything from yoga classes to garden club meetings to bridge groups to weddings to birthday celebrations. Local residents even vote there. Check their website for more information. The location across from the Setauket Mill Pond is unbeatable. The swans, ducks and other water fowl provide continual enjoyment and entertainment.
