Love this place. Fun Chaos!

If you need a guard so you don't fall, get it as your first thing. They run out super fast. The place is so busy and foods are as expected..fries, chicken, etc.
We had a great family day. We bought glow necklaces. Kids loved it. Its not too pricey for a great day out.

Check For Specials!
Feb 2019 • Family
This rink offers specials - check Facebook for coupons. If your child is new at skating, small apparatuses with wheels are available. It’s PACKED during school breaks, so expect to wait 30 minutes on the cafe line. Keep cash out of the locker to use vending machines as a faster option. Bring 6 quarters for lockers as the change machine is broken.
Parents wearing street shoes walk the rink slowly- in the wrong direction, stop to talk, take pictures, resulting in extra dangerous situations. This should not be allowed.
PARENTS, IF U R ON THE RINK, WEAR SKATES!
UNITED SKATES, PLEASE MAKE THIS A RULE!

Will ruin your child's birthday. Health Department visit needed

Booked a glow party and the lights were broken. The general manager would not come to the phone but sent Dan a nice 15 year old who admitted that the lights were broken. Our party was themed "glow" down to the special ordered glow cake. Due the lack of lighting were we say nothing glowed. Dan offered me $20 off! The good is horrible, it's run down and managed by teens. Not one person in that slum kitchen wore gloves!!!!

Family Fun
May 2018 • Family
We went here with a free admission pass for up to 10 people and had a good time. Skate rentals are $5.00, $7.00 extra if your child needs beginner guards. Good fun if you like a little exercise and the excitement of falling on your butt if you’re a newbie to skating. There were a mixture of ages when we went on a weeknight, but not crowded so you have the chance to get your bearings before taking off.

I didn’t check out the food options so not sure how that would go or prices, hence the 4 stars.

This is a place that stood the test of time. Nice clean place to skate with your family to top 40 music. Staff is very helpful.

Worst birthday party service ever
Oct 2017 • Family
We just had our daughter's birthday party here. The staff is very unorganized, it was 45 minutes into the party and we still had guests waiting for skates. Our daughter asked my wife to skate with her and the staff wouldn't give her skates, first because she didn't have a wristband (which we were told we don't get but instead were given birthday parent stickers) then because she did not fill out paperwork that no one else there needed to fill out. She wasted a good half-hour getting skates instead of being with her daughter for her party. We had guests that they tried to turn away for not being on the list that we had to show the staff the names on their own list to get them let in. Our hostess reprimanded our daughter for trying to sit somewhere other than in front of the burnt slice of pizza she was served. We told the hostess not to talk to the birthday girl like that and then she immediately did it again when she tried again to get a different slice. The pizza was pretty awful either way. We were charged for walkers that our guests took even though we did not choose to pay for any when we signed up for the party. Half of the arcade games are broken, and the other half either don't give tickets or are halfway broken in some other way. My wife let them know how bad the party was going and the manager came out and tried to rectify the situation by trying to upsell us with cotton candy towers instead of actually trying to make anything right.

Never again will we spend a dime here.

Looks really run down, pulled up and said NOPE

I always went to United Skates as a kid. This is not what I remember, a lot of shady people hanging around in and around. I saw two men walking between the rink and the gas station next door...not really what I want my kid around. The area in general was just not very nice. Just an overall less than appealing look, like there's a lot of other places I rather be ya know? Which is sad... I would not feel ok bringing my child in there, and it just seemed overall really junky. Nothing like photos on the site, that must be a different location. Didn't even get out of the car..just kept it movin to D&B's....sad how quality just goes out the window at so many places now a days.

Long time coming
Jan 2017 • Family
I've been coming here since kindergarten (I'm 34 now) is a community staple. Everybody has had birthday party's here once or another. Fun atmosphere here even if you don't skate. Woop bring family with young children again!

I use to go all the time in the early 90's and the place was heading down hill. However its back and better then ever. My nephew had a birthday party there recently and it was great the redid a large portion of the place and it was just a great time. They still have the roller walkers for the uncoordinated people.

Birthdays will become gun
May 2016 • Family
When I was a kid skating parties were a norm. However, the helicopter parents tried to make sure their kids never got hurt. So little by little places went away. No batting cages, no trampolines...but United Skates holds on where some would believe it should die. It allows people to skate, dance and have a good time. I think the arcade should disappear and be replaced with just games no tickets. The place is clean, happy and good fun. They even have walkers for kids who want to try.
