The Old Stone Fort, originally a Dutch reform Church built in 1772, was in the past surrounded by a stockade fence during the French and Indian War. There is a small entrance fee, but then you are free to roam around the property which includes...More

Docents are nice and knowledgeable. We had been and this time took our grand daughters who loved it. We showed them the breath of history.

Great collection of items from the time of settlement with nicely documented display cases. The adjoining buildings are fun to explore and would be great for kids

A 1700's church that was turned into a Revolutionary Fort to protect the community. Interesting displays: the first fire engine, Indian relics, military hardware. Well preserved. A walk around guide and a bit more relevance would help the visitor.

More than just an "old stone fort". The museum grounds include the cemetery, an old one room school house, an old barn, antique piano collection, nice gift shop, law office, Badgley museum, and more. Excellent presentation. Many artifacts. Terrific collection. Outstanding preservation of local history....More
