Our visit to this city consisted of seeing the City Hall, St John the Evangelist Parish Church, Nott Memorial, General Electric Realty Plot and this garden. This beautifully maintained plot is a small part of the ~1000 acre Central Park. Here we found several small parties taking photos of themselves and the lively flowers. Free entry and parking at the side.

Worth a trip from Saratoga Springs when the roses are in bloom. They were almost all in bloom on July 4th.
Loved the shady benches.
Wish there were a closer bathroom; had to drive across the park to the ball fields to find a port-a-potty; I assume there were public restrooms near the swimming pool or BBQ area.
Wedding parties surely must come here to take photos.

Beautiful roses - late June and mid August are peak times. The garden is small, but lets you bring a chair and a snack and sit by the water feature. It is a destination for garden clubs and people just looking to enjoy the spectacular flowers. We always park on the local streets @ the garden's edge.

A longtime favorite place to visit for our family. Beautifully kept, year after year, and simply beautiful. Easy to park, walk, sit, accessible. Engraved pavers pay tribute to family, friends and lovers of this space and help to maintain it's beauty.

Spent a peaceful afternoon here. Very beautiful and manicured well. Comparable to Yaddo. The groundskeeper is very informative and offers kind advice. Pleasant.

You can feel that Schenectady must be proud of this tidy park, hiding in plain sight in a nondescript neighborhood. Though I visited out of season to see the gardens in bloom, it was still a soul-soothing place to walk.

Wonderful place to spend a romantic afternoon. Clean and well kept...felt safe. Selection of Rose's and flowers was outstanding. Walk around the lake was nice. Well maintained cement paths and plenty of benches along the way. Enjoyed watching the geese, bluegills, and bass. Well patrolled by police. Nice place for Photography. One couple left a GoPro on a tripod that was stolen. Some homeless folks, but not an issue.

Living here most of my life Central Park has always been a nice little park to visit..The rose garden has changed over the years, and now with the additions of the fountains and gazebo it is the shining center piece for the park..a must see when the roses are in bloom
