Many of the shows I have seen there rival professional shows appearing at Proctors. The actors the company uses are talented and the theater has resources to draw upon to really deliver a consistently quality product. There are free refreshments at intermission and on opening nights a complimentary champagne toast and cake! Who is providing those kind of touches these... More

The shows are always amazing and a friendly local group. I have season tickets again this year and am happy to support local theater. The building is a former Masonic Lodge so the building has an amazing history too.

You'd never know this is 100% local, volunteer community theatre! Performances are high quality, actors and crew are often professionally trained donating their time for the love of it. And believe me, it shows!

We saw the last showing of The Explorer's Club on a Sunday afternoon. The theatre was packed and deservedly so! What a great gem in the Stockade where local talent shines and entertains!

We went to the Civic Players at the last minute to see a performance. What we saw was such a pleasant surprise. Every seat in the theatre is a good one and the performers were very talented and entertaining. Support your local theatre--you will be amazed.

Went to a fundraiser with a friend and got hooked on these folks. Went on Saturday night to enjoy The Explorer's Club. Laughed our way through the evening. The theater is actually an adapted church and fundraising is being done to update the heating and cooling system, bathrooms, and installation of an elevator. It's such a bargain at $17 per... More

Dracula was an excellent production, and the actors played their parts exceptionally well. Well done, Civic Players! Michael Murphy

Schenectady is very fortunate to have such a talented amateur theatre group. The building is historic and on the edge of Schenectady's historic Stockade section. Well worth the visit.
