We were an hour late getting to the festival and the bus driver missed a few exits and that put us behind. He hit a big pot hole that should have ripped out the bottom of the bus. The sea food festival itself was very disappointing. Over the years it has gotten less and less vendors so there were not a big variety to choose from. Thank goodness the fireworks were put ahead of schedule as it was we did not get home until 130 am. 8 hours on this bus was too long ! One of the couples had to move to another seat due to rain dripping from the ceiling.

My friends and I used Wade Tours to head down from Syracuse to Watkins Glen last summer for the Finger Lakes Wine Festival. The time spent at the festival was supposed to be 11am to 4pm. Not only did the bus driver get lost along the way, but we didn't even get there till almost 1pm. The host lady completely ignored everyone complaining and said something to the effect of "oh we mis-calculated the time.." You didn't mis-calculate, you got lost! Everyone on the bus was very angry and demanded that we be allowed to stay at the festival later - unfortunately the festival ended at 5pm. So while we were allowed to stay till then, our trip was still cut short. The host lady never even addressed any of the complaints. I wrote a complaint on the comment card at the end of the trip and received an apology letter from the company - but NO reimbursement or % off a future trip or anything. I appreciated the letter, but I spent a good amount of money to spend the day at the festival - and that was cut short because YOUR bus driver got lost and no one addressed ANY complaints. Had they given me some compensation or % off a future trip, I'd consider using them again. But since they didn't, never again. This year my friends and I are staying in Watkins Glen for the weekend so we didn't have to deal with any bus trips.

A bunch of us rented a bus to go down to see the Red Sox at Fenway and the man who was our driver seemed very nice in the beginning (and don't get me wrong, he was a very nice man the whole trip) but once we got into Boston, every time the GPS told him to take a left, he would take a right. So eventually, through his terrible directioning skills, we got into an alley where he hit a car and then proceeded to drive away. On the way from Fenway back onto the Mass Turnpike (literally the easiest thing you could ever do) he got so lost we ended up in Boston College. One of the moms on the bus had to direct him onto the Mass Turnpike.

Had trip to Cherry Blossom Festival, DC for April 2020 paid. When I first called to reserve ticket for trip in December I specifically asked what happens if they cancelled bus trip. I was told then in December it's rare they or their vendors cancel but if they do, a full refund would be given. Today I called first thing in am asked if bus trip was still on despite cherry blossom parade festival cancelled, capital shut down, all museums closed until further notice due to coronavirus. I was called later in day trip cancelled asked for a full refund was told only giving a credit can be used towards a trip at another time. They're a dishonest business say one thing does another. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone

We are sorry about the miscommunication. We were waiting on the supplier that books our venues to hear back on the status of a refund. We have sent out all refunds at this point, you should be receiving it very soon.

I took my 13 years old daughter to go on a trip to Boston Redsox baseball game on July 4, 2014. I paid for all enclosed package of $258 for two including ball game tickets and the bus ride.
When we were on way to Boston, the weather changed to rainstorm and the bus stopped and turned around about one hour away from city line of Boston and stopped by a outlet mall at Lee, Mass so that we can go in for our lunch. The Wade tour driver told us that I could call to Boston Redsox box office to see if we could get tickets refunded or exchanged for another game. I later learned that Boston box office could not do this because tickets were bought from a third party which is Wade Tours and the Wade tour company is supposed to take care of this to help their customers. It did not happen that way and the company did not want to do anything about it and kept their profits. The whole package that I paid went down the toilet. Package I paid for included stadium parking fee for the bus which we never arrived at stadium, hourly pay of driver for whole day bus driver only drove half day on our full payment of full day, and the gas that bus used that was not used for full way round trip from their headquarter (Schenedatcy NY) to Boston. So the overall that this company took advantage of their customers who paid a lot of money and they stand to keep their profits at expense of customers who never saw any of refund or got to see the city of Boston (game day).
So I contacted the NY state attorney general about my complaint and it was not resolved. I felt like this company robbing me of my money. This company could do better than this. This was how the Wade tours company treated their customers.
So I would not recommend anyone to travel with Wade tours. Keep your money for yourself and spend in other more dependable venture.

My husband and I booked a trip with Wade Tours to Radio City Music Hall and a dinner in Brooklyn with a tour of Christmas lights. We booked on October 14th and were greatly looking forward to this trip as my husband has never been to NYC. We each took the day off from work and when we arrived at the bus there was no record of us booking this trip. Luckily, I had our confirmation invoice so the tour director called and they said our reservation had been "cancelled" so they gave our seats to someone else. We NEVER cancelled this trip. This was a very popular, sold out tour, and I am convinced we were bumped for someone's friend or relative to attend. They told us it was our fault, could not give any info as to who cancelled it and never apologized or offered additional compensation other than refunding our cost. This also happened to my parents on a trip a couple of years ago. Again, they claim they would never do such a thing. I WILL NEVER BOOK A TRIP WITH THEM AGAIN!!! Use Yankee Trails....a million times better!!

We signed up for the one day trip to Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls. $49 each was to include--I have this in writing on my receipt--$35 toward gambling and $5 toward food purchase. Sounds good, right? When the bus pulled into their parking space at the casino, a Casino Rep came out to swipe all our cards to add the benefits, but mentioned that it was $20 in gambling credits, NOT $35. We complained, showing our receipts and they told us that was Wade's problem, not theirs as they didn't print the receipt/itinerary. We looked to the bus driver, who wasn't budging to help us. What were we to do? Back up and head for home? We SHOULD have, but you must get everyone to agree. PLUS: isn't it odd that the thruway break for coffee/pit stop, was long enough to make us arrive at 11:30--in time for lunch prices $17 and not breakfast, which was before 11:00. The Casino wants you to stay there to gamble, so your bus won't be taking you back home til 5:30 (to load on, leaving at 6:00) If you're not big gamblers--like us--you don't have much to do. We did walk to the Falls, etc., but you are on your own. We won't be taking Wade Bus Tours again.

We took a Wade bus trip to Mohegan Sun and found the driver to be very rude to passengers - people where in the parking lot coming for the bus and he left - even when others told him they were coming - so the people had to get in their car and drive to the next pick up stop - even on the return trip he was rude - he would not answer questions people were asking him.
We have gone on the bus before and never had an problems. Once to you to Mohegan Sun it is great its just getting there!

Tour started in Schenectady NY and continued to New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. In addition to driver, Wade also provided a travel assistant and in New Brunswick added a Tour Guide that was extremely familiar with the portions of Canada we visited. Each day this guide provided detailed information on the areas we were visiting. Information included when the area was first populated, by whom and the type of commerce first seen in the area and the current commerce. All three of these Wade staff were extremely customer oriented. This tour was 8 days.

We booked the bus trip with an entire group of Girl Scouts. The bus was scheduled to leave at 7:00a.m. My daughter and I were the first ones to arrive at 6:20a.m. checked in with extremely rude women at the inside counter who verified we were with a group of girl scouts. Boarded the bus. With 6 other people on the bus it proceeded to leave without the rest of our group, I objected to the bus driver who was actually pleasant, who then dropped us off at the Crossgates mall stop. A half hour later another bus with the rest of the girl scout troop came to get us. My daughter had to sit with a complete strainger in the back of the bus and I was put in the front with another stranger. I called Wade that Monday and got the same rude women who checked us in who claimed she would have someone call me back that they didn't guarantee seating.
I have gone on numerous trips with them in the past and never had a problem. Wade's customer service is lacking and I will be hard pressed to ever take a tour with them again.
