The park is a wonderful place to sit and rest, to hear music, share a picnic meal, even have a carousel ride, ot sample the spring waters. It's not a big park , but it's just right for the city and its citizens .

A lovely small park in the main street (Broadway) in Saratoga Springs. The Visitor Center across the street will provide a plastic cup so you can sample the "waters" from several of the natural springs fountains.

This is such a great park. It has lots of history. There are great photo ops. There are several springs in the park so make sure you bring a bottle or cup to taste the water.

This park was designed by the same designer that designed Central Park in NYC. But on a smaller scale. The detail is gorgeous and the Spit and Spat fountain reminds me of gardens I have seen in Italy. Dont miss the Spirit of Life on...More

I have lived in Saratoga for over 15 years and this park never gets old. It is like something out of a postcard. Well manicured and truly beautiful, the iconic springs which were here for decades have also been preserved in case you want to...More

Absolutely, I walk my dog there several times a week. Between walking in the park and throughout downtown he gets to sniff 10 to 20 butts.

The Good, Bad, Ugly & I just don't believe it!! (TR) (14 Replies)
We flew in on Wednesday, May 17th, I'll get the ugly out of the way first, what should have been a relatively short drive from MCO to Hard Rock Hotel turned into a three hour nightmare because some traffic lights near Universal fell to the ground causing considerable traffic delays The Good, well the weather is great, probably a bit too hot for us though, the on-site express pass, even though the Universal parks are very busy well a lot busier than what we are used too, everything for us...More

Best location at SSR during construction. (14 Replies)
Last year DH and I stayed at SSR and requested a room in Congress Park so that we could be within a short walking distance of DTD. We're going back to SSR this summer and I'd like some up-to-the-minute advice about the best place to stay, in view of all the on-going construction at DTD. I understand that the path we used to use is closed for the duration. We'll have a car but we'd still like to be able to walk to Wolfgang Puck Express for breakfast or for a couple of cheeky cocktails in the...More

Securing a room in a specific area of Saratoga Springs? (15 Replies)
A member of our party is a double transplant patient and whose mobility is fair at best. I just wondered a couple of things - We are staying in a 2 bed villa at Saratoga Springs. Is Congress Park area likely to be the best for us in terms of walking distance to the main hotel facilities as well as DTD? and, If it is, how would I ensure we are allocated a villa in that area? Can I email the hotel in advance, call Disney or just wait till we checkin and ask on arrival? many thanks

The Springs would actually be closer to the main resort area, including Artist Palette and High Rock Springs pool (and the check in area). Congress Park would be further away. Are you getting a scooter for party member for medical needs? There are companies that rent them for the length of your stay. If you booked through a travel agent, ask them to notify Disney for your medical needs. If you booked directly through Disney, add your requests to your reservation as soon as you can. If you...More
