This famed 350-acre racetrack features thoroughbred horseracing during its six-week season from late July through early September. Though one of the sport's premier events, the races often take second place to people-watching.

We enjoyed our visit to the racetrack. For racetrack newcomers like my family it was a friendly and welcoming entree to horseracing. As we entered the grounds friendly employees helped us find our way around, and taught us the ABCs of betting there. We had...More

We were fortunate that the weather was good. This place has it all---food, picnic areas, music, and the horses! The price of admission was very reasonable. Good places to sit and watch the people, hear the music, and enjoy the racing.

This is such a great race track, really a special place as it is the oldest in the country. Go early and find a table, don't forget a tablecloth so you can save it for your group. You can bring in your own snacks and...More

Beautiful track with tons of eating and drinking venues. Tends to be a more upscale and dressed up crowd especially in the clubhouse and boxes. It was so fun. Can't wait to go again.

Saratoga Race Track is open once again until Labor Day. The track has been in existence since 1864 so it is an old traditional track. It covers a large area that has something to offer for everyone. There are picnic areas, children's play areas and...More

I love the racetrack. It is extremely affordable I partly five dollars per person to enter. Average parking is about $10 near the track. You can bring coolers in as long as there's no glass !

First I'll just say that I wish you luck with that. The gates will open at like 730am for the "picnic table dash" so I'd suggest you get there before then. I know people that will line up at the gate at 530am.
