I could not swim but we only lived two blocks away and my parents brought me here because it was SAFE. Seaweed - yes. Undercurrent - no. Waves - no. Shallow - yes. I am now in my seventies and still cannot swim but I still go to Havens Beach. Please visit and make your own memories. The yatchs have... More

We used to take the kids to this beach every day. The water is mild and great for looking for shells. The beach is not that deep so you don't feel like you are dragging all of your beach stuff very far. There are close bathrooms and two outdoor showers. You can also put the kids on a swing set... Equipped with swings, jungle gym, sliding board, rest rooms, gazebo, picnic tables, BBQ's, this is a great beach for families with children. The bay waters are calm and the beach is sandier than most bay beaches.

This is a terrific Bay beach in Sag Harbor. No real waves and easily accessible from parking lot. There are bathrooms here in season. Will need a local resident sticker or you can buy a day pass. There is also a swing set, slide and some climbing equipment.

Changing rooms, parking (need permit or pay $10), swings for kids. This relatively quite beach expands the length of the cove for walks and gorgeous views.

I've read a few reviews which made Havens sound like it was actually IN Sag Harbor. If you go by foot, be prepared to walk about 25 minutes from Main Street. It's rather small, but nice

Great playground for kids to play right on the beach. However, its not for swimming, but it is within walking distance of main street. Enjoy it.

Was just there last week and it was open with a lifeguard on duty, so not sure what previous reviewer experienced.

Now its a glorified playground. The town has prohibited swimming and there are no longer lifeguards on duty. Right next to a marina - so its a bit weird to "swim" next to yachts. The water is gray too - for beach fun, better off go to Long beach, about 2 miles away
