We wanted to experince camping on an island with no one else around. This was one wonderful experience! We went on a Sunday in Mid September so we were able to get a site without a reservation. The caretaker patiently answered all of our questions...More

We camped at one of the islands. At check in they gave us some clear garbage bags, bring your own if you think you'll need more. They also gave workbook and patches for the kids - one can learn a lot from the books and...More

We made our 2nd visit here and once again had a great time. Checking in was simple, friendly and very quick. The boat launch wasn’t crowded and is beautifully built so that anyone, even a rank amateur, can launch easily. Finding our campsite was made...More

We've been boating on Indian Lake for several decades. It's a wonderful lake with awesome scenery, and the motorboat traffic isn't too bad. Many primitive camp sites along the shores, wildlife to see, and woods to explore. Also, this is the home of the rustic...More

Large lake with island camping. The lake has fairly big waves, so be prepared if you are using a canoe or non motorized boat. So worth it to feel away from the usual campground activity! Fishing is good, and this is a fairly busy lake...More

My 6 year old and I had a great stay here. Canoe rental was easy. The lake was picturesque and fairly private. The campsite was clean and unique and the view was awesome. We will definitely be back!

Indian Lake is a great camping destination. My brothers and buddies and I do a trip every year, and usually we don't prefer the pay-to-camp parks, so we were a little apprehensive about how crowded, commercial, or regulated Indian Lake would be. Our concerns were...More

Loved our visit, wish we were staying more than 3 nights. A great Adirondack vacation spot. Most sites are good sizes and wooded. Great amenities. New shower/bath houses are A+. Be careful of "comfort station" rest rooms cause they are pit toilets without sinks or...More

Was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The ranger at check in was extremely helpful and provided detailed directions to our campsite. We had our motorboat and the ramp was well maintained and easy to use. Plenty of parking for the trailer. Our campsite...More

Visited the lake for a few days mid week in June. The lake and surroundings are absolutely beautiful. There are many lakes in the area and they all look great but this one was ideal. The lake has about 4 islands in the middle that...More

Hello again, I just drove by the park a few days ago on my usual summer trip up there, and there are sites on the southwest end of the lake that are on the water but also with car access. You might be able to get water from... More
