This is a very small museum with mostly insignificant art pieces. They have a Chagall, Picasso, Andy Warhol and Botero but the rest isn't worth it. It takes you a few minutes to see all the exhibits. It isn't worth the price you pay $12.00...More

My girlfriend suggested we visit this museum this past summer. What a pleasant surprise, exhibit was terrific! Suggestion, leave the young ones home with a babysitter. This is an adult museum.

The museum is a beautiful old building and they have activities to keep kids engaged while they walk around. If the weather is nice, spend time walking the gardens and grounds. A favorite place of mine!

While most sculptures museums are costly to visit, Nassau County Museum of Art provides you a free oasis with many beautiful sculptures to browse with. The art museum, quite small in size, does require a fee to visit. Lots of parking available, very nicely maintained...More

This is a small but very interesting museum. It is best to go when they have an exhibit which draws your interest. Many Nassau and Suffolk libraries offer free passes but check with your local library. Aside from the indoor exhibits be sure to check...More

The interior and exterior structure and the grounds are worth looking at, not to mention the art (sadly, one piece that we really liked was missing the name and no one knew what it was). The ladies at the front were the only poor part...More

Go by all means. Great art exhibits in and out of the museum. Stroll the grounds and enjoy nature and the outdoor sculptors.

I suspect kids would not appreciate most or all of the museum exhibits. The park surrounding the museum has some nice large outdoor sculptures and people do picnic on the lawn at times, but this, too, is not much for kids.
