We enjoyed a nice wine tasting here. The dry riesling and the cabernet franc were very good. We bought a bottle of each and a bottle of glogg, a traditional Swedish mulled wine/alcohol. Looking forward to tasting the glogg. My husband used to make his own when we had our Christmas open house. We figure we'll have to add some aquavit or brandy to the bottle to make it authentic.

This was a nice winery to visit. Beautiful area and buildings that were well- maintained with small gift shop. They had specific flights you had to choose from, but you could make some substitutions. Had a nice time, but one of the more average wineries of the ones we visited. If you have ample time and have already visited some of the larger wineries, this is a nice stop in between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes.

25 years ago when I started vacationing in the Finger Lakes, Swedish Hill was the first winery I hit. Been going back every year since. Because each winery has it's own unique wines and I stopped at so many in the area over the years I have found they have what I enjoy best. When you rate a winery, you can't rate it on whether or not you like the wines, you have to rate it on the experience. I've been to others and loved the experience, but wines didn't meet my taste. With COVID this year the experience was much different, but it was a nice touch to have a flight at a table outside. You still had the opportunity to talk with staff about the wines when you went in for purchase. We'll be back next year

Thank you so much for visiting us over the past 25 years and for the great review. You are correct that the experience is somewhat different since COVID, but we still feel we can offer visitors a great experience, and in fact, most people have indicated that they prefer the seated relaxed flight style tastings. We look forward to your next visit!

It was hard deciding what flight type to get at Swedish Hill. We visited on a Monday afternoon and we were the only ones there for a while. Another group came in after we were there for a bit. There are a lot of nice sounding wines. Decisions! We did not feel like the staff was unfriendly. I apologized for struggling to make a decision and I was assured no problem, just let me know when you are ready. We finally decided on one of the reds. What we had was very enjoyable. We liked that they had some types in the 1.5 size bottles. Just nicer when your entertaining to have a bigger bottle of something handy. We did a Viking Red in the 1.5 and the bourbon barrel dry red that was something nice and bit different. Browsed the shop a bit but stuck with our wine choices and headed out. We had a nice visit there. Would return if we were in the area. Only oddity was the parking lot. Just laid out kind of funky. Hard to describe.

We did not feel welcomed from the minute we walked in. I had a service dog which the person didn't like, even after showing proper documentation. So then she found another reason to get us out, asking a 40yr old for ID, the ONLY winery to card.

I want to apologize if our server came across as unfriendly. We have always been known as a very pet friendly winery, and in fact, we have our own pet donkey and horse that people love to visit with. In the past we allowed pets inside, but with COVID we have reserved a few tables for customers with dogs, since social distancing tends to break down when people bring pets in. I can assure you that asking you for ID was in no way an attempt to get rid of you. Many of our servers have commented that they now find it more difficult to assess the age of visitors when they have a mask on. In any case, once again I apologize if you did not feel welcomed and we hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you in the future.

We were talked down to as tho we were asking stupid questions. It's the point o a wine tasting to learn about wines? I would not reccomed going here unless you are in the mood to pick a fight.

We're very sorry to hear about your negative experience at our tasting room. We strive to provide each of our visitors a fun, enjoyable, and yes knowledgeable experience in each of our tasting rooms. We train our staff to be able to provide our customers with information about the wines such as the vintages, techniques that were used to produce each wine, or food pairing information. We frequently have customers who seek this information from us and even participate in our complimentary winery tours just to obtain information about the crafting of our award-winning wines. However, we never intend to talk down to customers while providing this information, and if that is what occurred we sincerely apologize. We hope that you will give us another chance and one of our three tasting rooms, if there is anything we can do please feel free to contact us at (607) 403-0029. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we hope that you enjoyed Finger Lakes wine country.

Loved the wine flight! They also have cider, so that’s a plus if you’re not into wine. It’s close to many other wineries on the Cayuga lake. I bought some of their bubbles and will go back!

Look, I'm not trying to insult anyone here but if you're whole idea of a good time is cramming into a smaller space and loading up on Yellow Tail wine - which is effectively what this is - great, stop on by. They do, in fact, have a miniature pony in the back (I didn't see it), but there's just not a lot going on here. It doesn't have the big, easily accessible sprawling outdoor areas, the wines are mediocre at best, and it's clearly built to churn people out as quickly as they come in. Meh.

There are 130 wineries in the Finger Lakes. Pick a different one.

They have 2 decent wines, the rest are sweet ones with idiotic names. Visit a respectable winery that takes production seriously. Swedish Hill is a poor operation that uses sugar and marketing to mask the obvious, they are selling swill.

we enjoyed the tasting, our lady "guide" was very knowledgable of her wine and some of the other local wine , but not international wines. There was nothing that tasted great, but many were palatable, we bought a mixed case which we consumed during our New England touring, and even have one bottle left to enjoy in old England!
