- Katie MSewell, New Jersey23 contributionsAmazing! We had 8 people in our group that I made a reservation for. We went to many wineries that day, and this one was by far the BEST one!!! The whole ambiance of this place is great. Our girl doing the wine tasting, Madison, was AMAZING. The mulled wine was the best wine of the day! The whole environment, including the people that worked there, had such positive vibes, and we loved being there. We had a great time, and I would 100% go back!!Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 3, 2023
- Sue MWaterville, Ohio34 contributionsAmazing place! We had the best time here! Our taste server Art was one of the best we've had in our experience with wineries. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He was a high school band teacher for his career, this is his retirement job. The place is 170 year old renovated barn. Well done at that! They also had a very cool t-shirt my husband had to have. We did purchase a bottle of their reisling reserve to take home. Over all great experience!!Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 20, 2024
- Kristina CNew York City, New York522 contributionsRegret not staying longerWe stopped into Barnstormer Winery as a first stop on a little winery tour. We were welcomed by friendly staff and sat at the tasting bar. The wine was great. We got the cheese plate to go with our wine. But if you don't get any food, they provide oyster crackers for those people who don't want to get too tipsy. We should have stayed longer. They had food barbequing and live music playing outside in their yard. It was a laid back atmosphere that was set up for people to hang out and enjoy themselves. We did not find that same atmosphere at the other wineries we stopped at later in the day.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 11, 2024

We went to Barnstormers on a recommendation from a shopkeeper in Watkins Glen. We made a reservation in advance which we advise as the inside seating is small (it was too hot to be outside). The winery is tastefully decorated.
Our tastings were disappointing. The pours were the smallest any of us have ever experienced. Most less than a shot glass would hold. We all agreed that the 5 tastings didn’t equal a half glass of wine.
The $15 charcuterie board was very tasty; beautiful selection and the pickled onions were amazing. However, it was served without utensils or plates which made sharing it a messy affair.

Amazing wine and service. We were greeted by the friendliest hostess, who made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in the door. Our experience only got better when we sat down for our wine tasting. Art was knowledgeable, friendly and went above and beyond during our tasting. Hands down, one of the best wineries on Seneca Lake. My girlfriends and I were here for the weekend and this was the only vinery that we visited were we all left with our hands full! Highly recommend!

We stopped in Barnstormer twice on our trip to the Finger Lakes last week - we enjoyed it so much. The barn is rustic and cozy, and the service was incredible. Hannah is personable, knowledgeable and accommodating - she made us feel so welcome! We loved several of the dry wines, the Blaufrankisch red and rose were our favorites. Don’t pass on the charcuterie board, it is delicious and all locally sourced.

Stopped here to squeeze in a last minute winery before we left town and ended up staying well over an hour. Madison helped guide us through our tasting and did a great job explaining the nuances and popularity of each wine. Great hospitality and atmosphere, best port I've ever had (2014) and ran into a hometown friend along the way. Art is originally from Lehman, PA and has worked at Barnstormer for years. He suggested some must-see local spots for all seasons and gave some insider tips on event dinners and local restaurants. Dog-friendly and excellent service.

Barnstormer tasting room is a 200+ year old barn that has been converted. It was our groups favorite tasting of the entire weekend. They had a good variety of wines, but the ambiance of the place is what you will really remember. We had a wine and cheese pairing and it was a highlight for us. I definitely recommend stopping in a Barnstormer if you are in the area.

Great winery! This winery is a must visit when in the Finger Lakes. We visited on July 16th and I was pleasantly surprised the sommelier was very informative. Due to covid 19 So many wineries just sit the flight down and offer no interaction at all(which I understand), but at Barnstormer she stood back 6 feet and answered our questions and gave us details on the wine we were tasting. I loved the Rose' and the semi-dry Riesling.

I enjoyed one of the best Rose's I've ever had at this winery - the Sangiovese 2019. The back lawn has great seating options overlooking the lake and they had a nice gift shop. Perhaps most importantly, the staff were great. We made two visits to this winery during our stay One wasn't enough!
