I could just wander around the high falls and marvel at the ways the locals used the power of water to fuel their businesses.

If you like older architecture and envisioning how a modern 19th century city would have been engineered, take this walk and read all the signs, it's fascinating. Walk across the bridge and sample the beer at the Genessee when you are done. Parking in a nearby garage is only $2

This area is undergoing quite a bit of investment and the results are quite impressive. Walk over the bridge to a charming brewpub and admire the views. Stop by the small but interesting museum around the corner to learn more about early Rochester.

Bring your camera. The falls are small, but very pretty. It's a nice quiet place to sit and relax and look at the water

These falls are easy to see from downtown Rochester. Be sure to stop for a few minutes if you are in town.

The falls could be nicer but restaurants and businesses come and go. The falls are small but it's worth looking at.

The falls themselves are worth the side trip as impressive waterfall in the middle of a city, but the history around them and the engineering to make use of the water power is fascinating.

While in Rochester make sure to check out the waterfall in the Downtown area. There is an awesome walkway to view it on. It is an interesting area to spend sometime walking checking out some of the restaurants, galleries. Don't know if you can get up and personal with the falls, Viewing them from river level in the gorge it... More

Waterfalls on the Genesee River in the city of Rochester, what’s not to love? This is where Rochester started and where it got to be known as the “Flour City” due to the mills powered by the voluminous water. Today it’s the “Flower City.” However!

This was a great surprise to us as we were merely driving around, looking for something to do as we awaited a family wedding! Great place to take photos or just enjoy the view!
