Lovely walk for a sunny afternoon. We just had a stroll and got lost twice. I believe you can follow the trail for miles. Maybe next time...

This trail is wonderful for it's scenic value while you walk and get some exercise. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk.

The Genesee Riverway trail provides excellent views that are breath taking especially for in a city! You will also come upon the Genesee Brewery which will provide a nice stop for food and great beer!

A nice walkway along the Genessee River, the trail is well lit and has sidewalks. In early spring, there were still piles of snow and debris from winter, but in spring and summer, I'm sure it will be a nice way to get some air.

Very nice scenery and marked trail. The boardwalk that extends over the Genessee River is fantastic. I would not wander this trail alone as it is too close to the city of Rochester and sometimes there are questionable characters on the trail. The closer to city center, the scarier it gets. Stay away at night. Great for biking too.

Great places to walk along the river. Try from the Rose Garden area north or the portion by U of R south.

I'm too old to do it all. Walked the Pier at Ontario Beach Park, sailed the Mary Jemison on the Erie Canal, saw the lower river below Corn Hill and High Falls. Totally awesome! What a neat place is Rochester!

We started at RIT and took the trail north to Corn Hill. Very nice walking trail. I have lived in Rochester for 13 years and never been. Would recommend to others.

You can start on this trail at Lake Ontario. It follows the Genesee River through an impressive gorge, a boardwalk over the river at Turning Point Park, past three waterfalls, one in downtown Rochester, and south past the University of Rochester. Much of the way you'd never know you were in a big city. Be aware there are a couple... More

You can even take a Segway tour. Trail runs up and down along the West side of the Genesee Gorge for miles. Beautiful river views and big old houses. We saw a family of swans last time. Two hundred years ago it was an area of pirates and malaria, but now it is a hidden garden that can make you... More
