About
Casa Larga Vineyards – We are now celebrating 45 years of producing award winning Finger Lakes wines. In 1974, Mr. C planted the first two acres in Fairport, NY, naming it Casa Larga after his grandparents' vineyards in Italy. The first harvest came in 1978 and won three awards at the NYS Wine Competition. Estate White (currently Pallido) and Estate Red (currently Tramonto) were those first wines. Mr. C's dream came true and passion, patience and tenderness were his gifts to the vines and the wines they produced. Mr. C's hobby matured into a larger business, and Casa Larga became the 21st licensed winery in New York State. Casa Larga has now entered the golden era of New York State winemaking, becoming an icon, as well as a sparkling jewel of the Finger Lakes and Rochester regions. We are home to the New York State Ice Wine Festival every February and the Purple Foot Grape Stomping Festival every September. Experience the Italian Way of Living, with wine, food and family.

Me and my wife had our wedding at Casa Larga in November of 2021. Everything went as planned and was an amazing night. Before we left the venue, our wedding planner asked awkwardly if we were going to tip the staff, and I assured them that we would figure it out and drop something off the next day when we picked everything else up. After the wedding we went to our hotel for the night and went through our cards, we quickly noticed we were missing money from two individuals in our wedding party. We verified with them it was $500 in total. Casa Larga has a card box policy, one of the members of our wedding party would count and go through the cards with our wedding planner and lock them in the office untill the end of the night. Our wedding planner grabbed the box of cards and went to find the specified person. One of the cards went missing and one was in the box with no money in it. We were assured when we signed the card box policy that it would be secured for a worry free night and that we didn't need a lock on the box. The next day when we went to get the rest of our things and talk with the staff, we asked if they had cameras in the bar area, and they told us no there are none in the room. While we grabbed the rest of our things we realized the next wedding they were setting up for, the card box was on the same table, in the same corner. Casa Larga was going to look into this and we havent heard anything back since. Our night was absolutely perfect otherwise, and we don't want anyone else to have this happen on there special day.

Went to buy a grape pie but they do not sell them this time of the season so decided to have a flight of wine. I was delighted to have a great wine tasting and great conversation with Lou. She was very friendly and very helpful in my selection of wine. Lou, I will be back very soon for more tastings!! Thank you!!!

My wife and I had an early anniversary celebration (CHILDLESS) @ Casa Larga where we were married 8 years ago and tried the new food truck. The food was amazing! It was gourmet sandwiches and we chose the sweet potato hash for a side. Add in the wine slushy and it made the perfect late lunch meal.

Most definitely looking forward to going back and trying out other menu items soon.

My fiancee and I stayed nearby at the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa recently (which was great), and decided to visit this vineyard for a tasting. We arrived approximately a half hour before the tasting room closed, and were told we were too late and there would not be enough time to sample any of their wines by an unpleasant and smug man working behind the counter. We assured him we would not be more than 10 minutes tops, as we have done tastings before and did not need any education on the types of wines we were sampling. He then grunted something under his breath and barely spoke to us during the 10 whole minutes it actually did take for us to do a tasting. The vineyard itself is beautiful and the wines they have are pretty good...it's just a shame that one person can ruin the whole experience for two people who just wanted to enjoy 10 minutes of wine together.

The place looks wonderful. We went there for a wedding that started at 5. After the ceremony it took an hour before we were seated. During this hour a tiny bar with three people served about 200 people. There was also a table, about 2'X3' that had some minimal appetizers.

Main course arrived at 9:30 (after intervening lousy tiny salad about two hours after the event started) . When we finally got the food -FOUR AND A HALF HOURS after the party started, it would not rise to the level of mediocre - overcooked unidentified piece of beef, two and half tiny potatoes, and three asparagus shoots.

While their winbe does rise to the mediocre level, their event planning is at best super miserable and more precisely atrocious.

I truly felt sorry or the young couple and their family - fantastic people that fell for the most miserable place.

If you are planing an event the nearest mcdonalds, burger king, or drug store would be much much better.

Dear SEARCH2018. Thank you for your patience for a reply as I researched your concerns regarding a wedding you recently attended at our facility. My name is Andrea C. O’Neill and I am one of the family owners of Casa Larga Vineyards. For over 40 years from our humble beginnings by my Mom and Dad, Casa Larga has valued every customer and guest that visits our winery. We have built our success on offering superior products and services. We highly value the feedback from our guests regardless of praise or a complaint. When it comes to weddings, we do our best to guide and follow through on the dream winery wedding that our brides and grooms wish to achieve. It is our responsibility to create the vision our clients hold in their hearts. After reviewing your post and my due diligence to review the evening and your comments, my findings are that: this couple was wonderful to work with, after a year of planning with our onsite wedding planner they knew exactly what they wanted. We were honored to receive a wonderful thank you note from them. If you would like to speak to me live, I can be reached at the winery (585)223-4210 . Thank you. Andrea C. O'Neill, President Casa Larga Vineyards

Lines. Right from the start you are in a line at this event. Paying to get in...why? Getting your free beer/wine that comes with your $10 entry. For the two food trucks (one with a 40 minute wait after you order). The wine is also $7 per glass...seriously??? It's a nice setting but the execution fails. Go elsewhere until they hire someone that knows how to execute on an event like this.

We went to this local winery a few days ago with friends visiting from northwest Canada. Unfortunately, our experience was boring. The wines were excellent but the person pouring the wines did not explain or add anything about the wines. In fact, at one point she left us and reappeared later. I had to ask questions about each wine to learn their content (grape variety).

This is my mom's favorite winery, hands down. She's from the area but lives 3 hours away and whenever she's anywhere near, she has to go. Who am I to deny my mother a visit to a winery when we're visiting her? She just wanted to go to "pick up a couple bottles". I wanted to savor the visit and do a tasting and I'm so glad we did. I really enjoyed everything we tried, and the gal who helped us was super friendly.

I didn't think it would be so reasonable to buy 6 bottles and have them shipped to AZ, but it was definitely worth it. I got the dry riesling, pinot noir rose, pinot noir, cab-merlot and meritage. I can't wait to enjoy them all!

Hello Jennifer T, thank you for your review, we do appreciate it. Yes, we ship to 39 states and we are adding more! We have customers all over the country who regular buy and ship home their favorite Casa Larga wine, especially around the fall and winter. We all have our favorite wines here and I'm a big fan of the Rose of Pinot Noir and the Dry Riesling just like you. My go to NY red is always a Pinot Noir. Yummy. We have a special reserve Pinot Noir that is going to be released in 2019, specifically for our upcoming 45th anniversary. Yep...45 years. And thank your for your comments on our staff too, they are all super friendly... its a quality that we look for when we ask someone to join the Team here at the Vineyard. Thank you again for coming in with your Mom.

We tried Casa Larga for the 3rd time after a terrible 2nd visit. Firstly we waiting 25 mins for a wine tasting only to find the guy didn't have a clue what he was doing. We then had a very abrupt lady start serving us. After pouring our first wine she decided to serve 3 customers at the case register. We stood and waited thinking she may come back after 10 minutes, but nothing. We walked out and vow never to return again. Not only is casa Larga wine a very run of the mill but its customer service is dreadful.

We attended a wedding at the vineyard. It was absolutely perfect. Every attention to detail was paid. The food was outstanding, the drinks were excellent, and the decorations were beautiful. Scott, the bartender for the wedding we attended, was especially worthy of praise. I was extremely impressed at the level of organization, preparedness, and overall efficiency of their performance. I could not speak more highly of the venue and their performance.
