My wife and I had an early anniversary celebration (CHILDLESS) @ Casa Larga where we were married 8 years ago and tried the new food truck. The food was amazing! It was gourmet sandwiches and we chose the sweet potato hash for a side. Add in the wine slushy and it made the perfect late lunch meal. Most definitely looking forward to going back and trying out other menu items soon.

Casa Larga was our first stop on our second wine tour day. It's in the middle of Rochester, so very convenient. Our tasting was supposed to come with 5 pours, but I think by the time we left, I'd had 12 or 13. They had a great variety of wine, mostly whites, but everything from bubbly to dry to sweet. One of my favorite stops!!!

Hello Kihyland, thank you for stopping at Casa Larga Vineyards, we do appreciate your visit. Yes, we are convenient...south of Rochester NY and just north of NYS Thruway. We just celebrated 45 years of producing award winning wines here in the Finger Lakes wine region of New York State. We remember when there were less than 10 wineries in the Finger Lakes and now there are 400 wineries and 1,600 family owned vineyards. Our founders, Mr. and Mrs C. knew they were on to something! Come see us again when you are in the area. GO NY WINES!

Driving through the area and decided to make a stop. Beautiful location. Once we were inside we were greeted by a wonderful staff. We ended up doing a wine flight that allowed us to try a number of different wines. Ended up purchasing a few bottles. What a great find.

Hello sdgibsonlp62. Thank you for stopping in, we appreciate it very much. Yes we agree, our Tasting Ambassadors are wonderful, they so enjoy sharing their love and knowledge of wine will all our visitors. Thank you for noticing their spirit! 2019 is our 45th year of producing award winning wines here in Rochester NY and we are so looking forward to 45 more years. We just released our newest wine, a fortified wine called Porto Rosso, a ruby port, using Black Button Distillery bourbon barrels It is dang delicious and if you pair it with dark chocolate and walnuts, well....you have to hang on, it is heavenly. I'm hoping when you were here you were able to try my favorite, our 2018 Muscat Ottonel Pet-Nat, a fresh, dry, unfiltered sparkling wine produced by a natural, centuries old technique. It is crazy good. Please come visit again, when you are able. Have a wonderful New Year, here comes 2020!!!

We went to this local winery a few days ago with friends visiting from northwest Canada. Unfortunately, our experience was boring. The wines were excellent but the person pouring the wines did not explain or add anything about the wines. In fact, at one point she left us and reappeared later. I had to ask questions about each wine to learn their content (grape variety).

We stopped in as this was the closest winery to where we were staying. I was very interested in tasting their ice wine. You get 5 choices for $5, and can try the ice wine for an additional $2. We especially liked the Lilac Hill. The ice wine was very sweet, and I can understand why its considered a dessert wine. THe education on the different offerings was a nice touch as well. Overall a good experience.

Thank you ImportR06 for stopping buy, we appreciate it very much. Yes the Lilac Hill is a fan favorite, and the official wine of the Rochester Lilac Festival. Yes Ice Wine is traditionally sweet as the grapes are picked when frozen and when pressed frozen it is the sweet nectar that is the end product. When you serve Ice Wine may we suggest that instead of the serving with your dessert, try serving it with Gorgonzola, or Blue cheese or Parmesan. Or oysters or pate, or salty nuts. The salty sweet pairing takes it to the next level. If you are in the area on Saturday Feb 15, 2020, we host the NYS Ice Wine and Culinary Festival and you will be able to sample so many wonderful Ice Wines and Ice Wine infused foods that will surprise you! Thank you again for stopping by!
