Independent theaters are fading out of many communities but this one in Rochester is going strong. it had a good collection of films and a wonderful cafe that regularly has performers. It was actually so much fun that my wife and I went twice on our weekend trip to Rochester.

I have been seeing wonderful movies at the Little for over 30 years, and it makes living in the Rochester community just that much more special to have this spunky and creative place to go for a movie, some of the best fresh popcorn in town, fresh-baked goodies, music, and a cool but comfy vibe. I have gone by myself,... More

Locals kept telling me to visit and finally I got there. What a nice movie theatre this is. I accidentally wandered into the wrong screen and ended up seeing a much better movie than the one I had planned. They have reasonable prices and the popcorn and water are cheaper than the regals, AMCs etc. theres a great cafe attached... More

Great shows, music, movies and cafe. This theater is not a megaplex and that's what I like about it. It's old but cozy and the films are the ones that are almost hard to find....but seem to always win awards.

Great movies, both domestic, current and foreign. We have gone to the Little several times in 2012-13 and each time we were not disappoint. The Little complex also has a nice cafe inside and sometimes provides music.

It's like going to the movies when you were a kid. Except the seats are more comfortable and the ambiance is wonderful. This is where people who care about movies go to see their movies in Rochester.

A neat old, rennovated movie theater showing the greatest in classic films, independent films and even an occasional mainstream movie. Also an intimate little cafe which sometimes offers live music. A nice place to kick back with a coffee or glass of wine before or after your film.

The Little is one of our favorite places to go. First of all, it has the best movies in town. For independent films, foreign films, and/or unique movies that you'll want to talk about and think about ... this is the place to go. Secondly, the Little Cafe has wonderful food with a fairly diverse menu. I am vegetarian and... More

This theater is small and intimate. the 5 screen theater (in 2 separate buildings) show independent films that can't be seen elsewhere. The selection is only of the finest, intelligent films; not afraid of showing controversial topics or provocative subjects. these films are not "big" on car chases and predictable endings. the seats are not that comfortable, but it's a... The Little has 5 screens and usually it is hard to choose among the films. They recently upgraded to digital. There is a cafe with jazz in the evenings, as well as a snack bar with unusual goodies.
