The Little is a not for profit which is associated with the local PBS station. It shows a variety of very good films at low cost in fairly comfortable theaters spread over two adjacent buildings. Prices are low as compared to commercial teaters - senior tickets are only $5. Snack bar prices are reasonable, and there is a cafe with... More

This is one of my FAVORITE places - I go as often as I can. Great movies, free parking, free music (last night the Rochester institution --- the White Hots!), original art and up until last night, wonderful food. Orange Glory used to make their incredibly delicious lentil burgers - not to be believed - died and gone to heaven... More

Just saw Eye in the Sky at the Little Theater and both the movie and theater were great. The theater is not over priced at any time, discounts seniors at 62+. The popcorn is fresh, popped there and can be bought without butter and in varying sizes. Best part is they pack the bag. There are other special treats from local... More

Great venue for Rochester's much loved ImageOut Festival each year. We, as a couple, enjoy visiting The Little Theater and supporting our local establishments. The ticket prices are reasonable, as are the costs of the refreshments. We do wish there had been more parking closer to the building but that is not possible with the location of the various other... More

We love listening to live music in the Cafe. It is intimate, fun and collegial. Parking is sometimes a bit of a challenge, but well worth it. Also, there is no cover charge.

If you want to see great movies at an even better price this is the place for you. Feels like and old time theater and yes the ever seat in the place is not a comfy one but that adds to the feel of the place. Everyone at the theater seems happy to be working there. The refurbished women's room... More

I will give the Little five stars just because coming here is a "classic" and "cozy" feeling that you can't beat. I won't compare it to the big wigs like Regal and AMC because the reason I come here is when I want to escape the typical "cinema" experience that big companies have created. The Little is local, runs independent... More

Great spot in the city to see well known films as well as more unique films. Great cafe and awesome spot to catch film festivals.

See movies here that you can't see any where else. Have fresh baked cookies or cakes and fresh brewed coffee. Small, intimate theaters with clientele that usually won't talk during the movie. This part of downtown is well lit and has a bunch of bars and restaurants to choose from. A great night out!

I can always count on something great from the Little Theatre. Had a little something from the cafe, as we listened to a wonderful band, "Big Blue Band". The cafe is very casual, order your food and they bring it to the table...food was fresh and tasty. Soup was wonderful, had a little wine. and then headed in to a... More
