If we have visitors for the weekend, we never miss taking them to Rochester’s Public Market. Yes, the market is open on Thursday (and other odd times), but for the full effect of its bustling, multi-cultural activity, Saturday is the day to go. There are farmers, of course, with their produce of the season in colorful, tempting array, but there... More

I totally love this market place! Rows and rows of every type vegetable and fruit you can imagine. Spices, meats, seafood, and baked goods galore. Disappointed that I can't load up and take everything home with me.

We spent a few hours in the market in our visit to Rochester. Really liked the vibe of the place. Worth paying a visit if you want to buy fresh food or even if you want some empanadas or perogies, of which there are a couple of stands.

I have visited this market for many years. I buy produce, seafood, and just about anything. Saturday is the busy day, but in the summer, thursdays are less crouded with many vendors. You can get a great breakfest sanwich and coffe too! A must place to visit if you are in the Rochester area!

A large covered outdoor market, full of local specialties, fresh produce, prepared food and baked goods. A one stop shopping to get everything to prepare healthy meals. Highly recommended. Parking is difficult, we got lucky and found a street parking nearby. Just to be patient. Parking facilities around town, so provide shuttle service. Check website. Don't miss it when you... More

Plenty to choose from at the market and good prices. Definitely walk the whole place before starting to purchase because u can see the differences in the selection. Had a breakfast sandwich at one of the places and it was very good as well. Hope to return again soon.

A slice of life, American and otherwise, meets you in all your senses at the Public Market! On my way somewhere else and staying overnight nearby, I got up at 5:30 to come out here on a Saturday morning. Arriving a 6 AM, the place was already bustling with all manner of people and goods. Had a fantastic breakfast sandwich... More

A nice variety of vendors. Vegetable and fruit, flowers, meat markets, dry goods. Also a wide selection of eateries in and around the market. Had alot of fun.

This is a great open Market to get fresh fruits and vegetables. Go early or go late, crowds are worst from 9-12. Prices can be high so go through and check for best price before you buy.

We get here several times a year, most recently looking for local, organic strawberries and then a few days later for one of the 'Food Truck Rodeo's. While parking can be fun (hint: get there early), from clothes or kitchen gadgets to baked good and locally grown produce and flowers, I would be surprised if you go home empty handed... More
