Seabreeze Amusement Park
Seabreeze Amusement Park
4.5
About
Seabreeze, the fourth oldest park in America, is located on the scenic bluffs overlooking Lake Ontario north of Rochester. Enjoy the excitement of four roller coasters, a classic wooden carousel, thrill rides, family and kiddie rides, a midway of food and games and live shows daily. There's also a full water park with wave pool, tube slides, body flumes, lazy river, kiddie slides and more. The 1920 Jack Rabbit wooden roller coaster is listed as the oldest continuously operating coaster in America. The park is a classic combination of traditional amusement park and modern water park. Open daily mid-June through Labor Day; also open weekends in May, early June and early September.

Purchased tickets online at 6:45pm the night before. Get to the park the the next day and they say these tickets were scanned at the gate at 2:45pm yesterday. I try to explain that this does not add up nor make sense, park closes at 7pm, why would I spend $100+ for 15 minutes at the park??? The gate staff is not helpful. I have to spend another $140 for tickets. Once inside the park I try to resolve this one more time. I get the same manager who denied us entry at the gate. Somehow the tickets get checked again and this time they are valid. I get a refund. But my family's day is already ruined and they wasted a bunch of my time. Do not recommend. Horrible customer service. Would give 0 stars if it was an option.

It has been a couple years since I was last at Seabreeze. This is a beautiful little park near Lake Ontario. It has been around for over 100 years, and it is now in the hands of the fifth and sixth generation of the family. That makes a difference. They really try to make sure everyone has a safe but fun time!!
The employees were very professional and friendly. Though it was a very busy day, the lines moved at a reasonable pace. They only drawback was the long lines for food this day.
The park is very clean and has a great atmosphere to it. There is something for everyone in the family here, from gentle rides to a few thrill rides.

Great selection of rides for the whole family to enjoy. The park was clean and all the rides seemed well maintained. Parking was free which is a bonus as most amusement parks charge for parking. Concessions seemed to be the normal prices you would expect at an amusement park.

Use to come here as a kid and had fond memories. Now it is dirty and sad. I’m writing this in line as I have to wait at a concession stand for lemonade and water. There is no other place to get drinks without buying the stupid ‘souvenir’ cups and having to drag them around all day. The only way I’d walk around with that ridiculous cup is if they poured liquor in it. Employees are rude and unfriendly. At least my kids are young enough that they will only remember the fun parts. Come to think of it, maybe that’s what I did as a child while my parents suffered through it. If you want a better time as an adult at a theme park, take the longer drive and go to Six Flags.

Seabreeze is a cute little Amusement park with Waterpark. There is fun for all ages on the Amusement park side as well as the Waterpark Side with short and fast moving lines .It homes one of americas oldest carousel. The bathrooms and changing rooms are very clean and maintained. Picnic tables are ready for you to bring your coolers full of goodies . We were greeted by happy, friendly and accommodating staff everywhere we went. Beautiful view of the lake, awesome rides and lounge areas

My husband and I brought are 2 kids to Seabreeze and we loved it! This is a great amusement park to bring your whole family, because there is something for everyone (rollercoaster, games, water slides, carousel, etc.) and the price is so much better than what other parks are charging. Although it does not have as many "high-caliber" rollercoasters and rides offered by Six Flags and other parks, for the price we paid to get in, it was well worth it!

This park is clean and makes an excellent day trip on a hot day. Crowds are low during the week and this park offers something for everyone.

Our family tries to avoid this park at all cost! It has turned horribly "gangish" in the past few years. Fight break out almost daily, read about mobs and trouble in the paper all summer long. It is filthy and very poorly managed to boot. We won't be back until they acknowledge they have a big problem and take steps to remedy them.

With all of the ghetto trash that hangs out there isn't not even worth going there anymore. There has been massive fights and all kinds of craziness that has gone on there.

I loved this place as a kid, and was excited to bring my 15-year-old there for a few hours. We got there an hour after open; it started raining 30 minutes later. The rain policy is that you can get a rain check if the rides are closed for more than an hour. It was pouring rain - thunder and lightening - and they ran a handful of rides just so they didn't have to lose money. Well, I lost money. $70 for one ride. Sorry if I like my life and I wasn't about to go on the swings during a lightening storm. I'm sitting in my car now, and it's been raining for 2 hours. They still won't give a rain check or a refund.

Hi, how is everyone there? I used to live in West Irondequoit and would spend Summers with my Highschool friends at the park . It's been a while since I moved from Rochester, and i always have this music that played while on one of the roller coaster ride in the dark .I would like to find out what song that was played and from what band.If i remembered correctly, it was one of the Hardrock band in the 70's or 80's, If it is not too much of a trouble for you to look into it and send me a reply, it would be greatly appreciated. I missed Rochester alot and hope to be back to visit my favotite Park soon. Thank YOu , Max Quang

Thanks for your inquiry. We did not have any roller coasters with music, but we did have several rides with music. You might want to pose that question to the Seabreeze Memories & History Facebook page.
Is there a wheel and axle in the screaming eagle in Sea breeze??????? (-

I don't think so, I believe it is direct motor drive. With as much weight as it moves, between the metal and the seats and the weight of the people I don't think of tire would grip enough to drive it. you can go on YouTube and look at a few videos but it doesn't look like there's an axle entire at all
how made the screaming eagle in Sea breeze

The park’s ten food outlets offer a variety of summertime treats to enjoy, such as burgers, salad, pizza, chicken fingers, and more. You are also allowed to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages into the park. You are not allowed to bring glass, knives, or alcohol to the park.
What is the price of admission?

I have a 3 year old and would like to take him to the park. Do I have to buy a ride and slide pass for myself to accompany him in the kiddy water park and/or merry go round?
Cee B
Rochester, NY
Hello Angela! You could buy a spectator pass, which would allow you to ride the carousel and train, if you are accompanying your 3 year old. You can also go on the soak zone and kiddie zone if you are accompanying your 3 year old.
