Once
Feb 2020 • Family
We attended "Once" this past Saturday night. This show is a must see! The music was awesome and the performers were great! The music was very powerful and the musicians came out ahead of the show and played various Irish songs. The show lasted about 2 hours but it seemed like only an hour because you were dancing in your seat to the music. A must see and it will leave you wanting to come back for more!

Great community theatre
Feb 2020
We were just to Geva last night and as usual the actors were very professional, the stage decorated well and our seats great. Every seat is no more than 150 feet from the stage. The sound system is great so every word can be heard. The play was Slow Food. The theatre has a bar and light dinners. This is a gem for Rochester

Seeing a Show with daughter
Sep 2019
We went to see La Cage aux Folles on Saturday. What a great time. The show was great, had great seats and could see everything. We had a lite dinner before the show at their little bistro. Great food as well. She had a salad and I had a turkey sandwich. Just the right amount of food before the show. Great night and would do it again in a heart beat

Not a Bad Seat in the House
Sep 2019 • Couples
Every performance I've seen at Geva has been professional, well directed, and entertaining. Also, since it's a small venue, any seat you purchase is solid.

Neighborhood theater, nice...
Sep 2018
Nice seating, via, viewing the stage from any seat. Welcoming entry and numerous theater goers anticipating when the show begins. I have been only once and I might attend IF a show tickles my interest.

First rate professional theatre.

GeVa is real community gem for Rochester. The productions are varied in content and often include premier productions of new plays. The size of the theatre is intimate as opposed to auditoriums. It makes for a powerful and engaging experience. If you are interested in the play that is currently in production when you visit, then go. Top notch actors and directing.

Revival - The Resurrection of Son House - enjoyable show
May 2019 • Couples
My wife and I went to Geva and enjoyed the Son House play. I did not know any of the details about the life of Son House and we found the show and music very enjoyable. We both felt the show was a little longer than it should have been (about 75 minutes before the intermission and about an hour after). I thought the strongest performances were by Cleavant Derricks and Clifton Oliver. Definitely a show worth seeing

Love the venue. I am disappointed with the Special Touch Bakery pies. It doesn’t sell nor does it make anyone want to go buy pies outside the venue when the apple pie is served cold.

It’s easy.. add a glass of cold water and set the microwave on defrost.

I took my family to see a Christmas Carol. Small venue so every seat is great! Ticket price was reasonable and the production was awesome.

Great Venue
Dec 2018 • Family
The Geva Theatre is spectacular in its ability to showcase actors in the live play media. It has comfortable seats and a great sound system. Also has a small cafe to grab a quick bite or a glass of wine.
