Patrick was an excellent tour guide and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed walking and talking with him. Even though my husband and I have lived in the area for more than 40 years, we still learned a ton of new things! Typically we are driving by quickly in our car and being on foot allowed us to notice and take in so much more. Patrick is extremely knowledgeable, naturally curious and finds real joy in learning, making connections, and sharing with others. it was refreshing to spend time with someone who has such an appreciation for nature and history. Our advice: take the tour! It is perfect for locals and for those visiting the area.

Patrick is a great tour guide, and he's put together a wonderful trip through the highlights of two of Rochester's most interesting neighborhoods.
We're lifelong residents of Rochester. Along the way, we still discovered a lot of new things we didn't know about our hometown. I'd recommend a "Some Things Afoot" tour for anybody -- whether they're visiting, new to town, or have lived here for 30+ years!

We toured the Park Avenue/NOTA area on a chilly February afternoon with our guide Patrick. It was very informative for both me, a Rochester native, and also for my out of town visitor. I plan to tour again in the warmer weather. Thank you, Patrick!

I learned a whole lot of new, interesting things about Rochester from Patrick. And Patrick gave me a keen sense of the past -- when Park Avenue was a dirt street, when horses and buggies went up and down East Avenue. Ever since this walkabout, I'm looking at Rochester with new eyes. I highly recommend this amiable guide and this pleasant walking tour!

The tour was great! Patrick is very knowledgeable, friendly and interesting. I love "feet on the ground" tours because you get so many more intimate details that you never see or notice while driving. We saw so many enticing eateries, boutiques, architectural delights, major Rochester attractions. I will definitely be returning to the area to spend more time there. Tour is donation only, give what you think it was worth - probably the best two hours I've spent in Rochester since I moved here.

We so enjoyed Patrick’s tour, do not hesitate to engage his services. Prompt, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. …. He was willing to do his tour earlier in the day to work with our schedule. The part of Rochester that he covers has so much history and beauty. No one else offers this! Time well spent and it’s free. He works for tips. Great product Patrick! Thank you.

We came across this tour through a local neighborhood website. The guide (Patrick Adams) is a long-time Rochesterian with a in-depth knowledge of local history, culture and architecture. Having lived in Rochester our whole lives, my wife and I were interested in learning more about the Park Avenue and Neighborhood of the Arts areas of the city. We had a great time that locals and visitors would equally enjoy.

I was visiting Rochester for a few days. I had a great time and this tour was the highlight of my trip. Patrick is friendly and well informed. The tour gave me a good understanding of the history of Rochester, Park Ave and NOTA. There are also many unique business and restaurants to explore along the way. Parkleigh was a personal favorite. I would recommend this tour to everyone especially first time visitors.

Sam was a great host and very informative. He casually explained all the history behind the Rochester landmarks and took us for a great trip. He even had water bottles for anyone joining :)
