Awesome but crowded. Avoid crowds by going before or after festival. Azaleas and Rhodes bloom before festival and are beautiful. Soon after the festival, a gorgeous Tree Peony garden blooms and, in June, there are spectacular blooms in the Louisiana and Japanese garden. This garden...More

I used to live in the neighborhood and would walk there at least once a week. Miss the peacefulness of this local treasure. It is well kept and there is nothing like it during the Lilac festival time of the year. Wish I still lived...More

Highland park is gorgeous whether you're there for the annual Lilac Festival or just having a picnic in the Arboretum. Definitely a great place to just go and hang out and unwind from the busy city or busy workday.
