This farm is a great little place for picking up gifts for the holidays. We love giving our family and friends handmade and unique gifts, and this place has tons of options - honey and bee products, maple products, carvings and woodcraft, and all sorts of farm goods. This place is also very historical and the owners love to chat... More

I stopped at Niese's with a group of Boy Scouts. The Niese's showed us around and taught us about the maple syrup process. We all enjoyed the home baked goods and maple products available in the store.

Locals go all the time but if your ever one the Taconic pkwy get off at Peekskill Hollow road and it not to far from there. Worth the trip. Operating since 1892 it is an experience for young and old. In summer there was a one man band playing while we ate breakfast in a kind of lean to. The... More

I agree with all the other reviews but want to add my own as well. Niese's is what I would describe as priceless. When I first went there for their weekend breakfast....I had thought of it as a place out of a story book....or maybe even a movie set for a scene in a quaint country setting where people are... Find out how to make maple syrup and all the products that come from it. Enjoy local honey and the local color with a family that goes back many generations. Browse in their shop for gifts you won't find anywhere else. Enjoy the various animals there to greet you.

We often go up to visit the Nieses' Maple Farm. They are very fine people, very hard working and friendly. In addition to everything else they do, they throw a wonderful pancake feed for veterans; there is usually a country violinist or guitarist at these events. In our visit today, we were very, very sorry to hear that they are... More

Apparently mid March is the time to plan a vacation trip here to see them cooking the syrup. They do a breakfast on weekends and it smelt great!!! We didn't know about the breakfast and had eaten just before getting here.
