This park has plenty of walking, biking and running trails. There is a free boat launch, wading pool, basketball courts, and views of two lakes. You can bring your fishing poles, barbecue, and enjoy hours of fun with family. This park is one of the best.

During our visit back home last month, Dwyer Memorial was top on my list of things to do. So, while driving from Syracuse to Cortland I decided to take my daughter and grandson there to show them one of the most cherished memories of my childhood. I spent many a Summer there for family reunions, walks thru the park and fishing. So, we went to the creek and took our shoes off and walked thru the crystal clear water looking for crayfish. Then we went to the lake and walked out on the dock and also wandered over to the children's wading pool and took our shoes off again and walked around! I had a hard time getting them to leave because they were having such a good time and now the memories that we made there will forever be in their minds!

Great place for boating, a family picnic, or just sitting and relaxing by the water. It's a county park and the crew does a wonderful job with upkeep.

This county park has a lot to offer. Many picnic sites - large pavilions that can be reserved for Family reunions, or 50+ people, or a little site next to the water, or a secluded picnic table in the more separate section of the park ( that was used as campsites many years ago). Paver roads great for teaching little one to bicycle, swing sets, slides, a ball field, a little stream that runs between the two small lakes ( Green Lake (pond sized for canoe/kayak) and Little York - including a power boat launch area and trailer parking near the Repertory Theater (not reviewed here). Very famous for fireworks (always July 3), Great for strolling around the paved and dirt roads, wooded sections include short trails along the water's edge, to little fishing spots, and mountain biking through out - although any experience biker will cover all the trails in about 20 minutes... ( so do it twice!). Not the best for swimming, but the little ones can find many spots to wade in and get the dog wet. Pet friendly for sure. There is a public restroom.

We happened upon a gorgeous park nestled behind the Cortland Repertory Theatre in Preble, NY. It is on Little York Lake and to find it you should follow the signs for the Theatre. There are walking trails, pavilions, picnic areas, charcoal/fire pits, ball fields, playgrounds, bathrooms, foot bridges and a place to launch your boat here. It is an awesome place to walk and is very large. It appeared that there is no fee to park nor enter. There was also a wading pool near the theatre. If you are in the area, I would certainly recommend stopping here for some peace and relaxation. Nice green space with the mountain views.
