Fun apple picking at the end of the season
Nov 2020
I can't speak for the large-scale events that they have. I went apple picking on a random weekday at the way end of the season, and I had a lovely time~ The apples are yummy. Being the end of the season, many trees only had apples at the very top of the trees, and there were no apple-pickers available to reach them (It would have been nice to have been offered those.) But aside from that, it was all good. Plenty of lovely types of apples, well-tended and beautiful. People wore masks and were friendly and easygoing. All around - just a fun, fun day! Kudos for staying open for pick-your-own when most farms are closed for the season.

One Very Bad Apple! Greed; Pandemic Mayhem
Oct 2020 • Family
This place is a greedy joke! They gave us time slots so we were excited to drive from the city and enjoy the open air, and safely social distance in the country. What a joke!! It was more dangerous here. We went for the Boos and Brews festivities but the lines for everything was 1 1/2 to 2 hrs long, so we didn’t get anything! People were everywhere and on top of one another. The festivities were corralled in a small area and there was no way of social distancing. So dangerous! We spent $200 to just drive up to the country and drive back. This place just wanted your money and didn’t care about the pandemic going on. When you try and call, there is no answer, or they don’t call you back if someone does FINALLY answer. If karma comes to these people, it will come in full force.Save your money and go to places that let you enjoy free activities, and cares that there is a pandemic. These people are a bait and switch. No more Barton Orchards for me! One and done! And I will definitely spread the news of my experience.

Fun Adventure For the Pros and the Novices
Oct 2020
We went to the Treetop Adventure part of Barton and had an absolutely amazing time. This is the place to go when you are looking for a fun day outdoors. It will satisfy even the athletic/adventuresome in your group, but also be great fun for those who (cough) tend to spend more time watching hardcore stuff on Netflix than actually doing it.

The team is amazing, safety is king, and they have a smart-harness and clip system that keeps you utterly safe when you're 20 zillion feet off the ground (OK, maybe it was more like 30 feet). Seriously, you can indulge your wild spirit and be safe the whole time.

Brett did our training session and he was fantastic! So precise, and skilled but also helpful; he even slowed my zipline ride down from the ground because I am a big scaredy cat, and um, 30 zillion feet, remember? Allen was also awesome. Both he and Brett clearly knew the park down to each step and how to make people comfortable and confident. It seems as if everyone at this park is aware of safety and fun at the same time.

The place is physically beautiful and peaceful and just plain nice to be in even while you're challenging yourself and coming away feeling like you went on a cool vacay..

Also, while I didn't experience the rest of the orchard, I can say that at Tree Top everyone was masked, socially distanced, and super aware of Covid issues even while the risk seemed low because everyone was so spread out outside.

Go have an adventure! Ask if Brett and Allen are working that day, or maybe everyone staff is that great. I'm going back with my family first chance we get!

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE AND TERRIBLE
Oct 2020
This place is not what it use to be. Customer service is poor, the lines extremely long, overly priced food. Definitely will not be back again. Much rather go to a smaller farm with less activities but warmer and friendly energy

Do not go!
Oct 2020 • Friends
Extremely overcrowded! They don't limit the number of people even at current covid situation and they charge $25 per person to enter.

CROWDED!!! and LINES, LINES, LINES!
Oct 2020
Please find another place to go unless you want to spend a day in LINES, LINES and more LINES.
We’ve been coming here for years and used to love this place but will not be back after this year.
The lines are ridiculously long. If you want food, an alcoholic drink and donuts, you will likely have to spend 2-3 hours in total. Another line to get a bag for apple picking. It’s super disorganized l, and each year I’m hoping it will get better but it only gets worse.
They do not sell apple cider by the cup (really). My son and his friend wanted apple cider. I bought a half gallon for $15.99 but they don’t have cups in the market. So I went to the food place asking if I could have cups. The answer is yes, for $1 each.

I need a Covid test - Greedy place
Oct 2020 • Couples
A complete disappointment! There was absolutely no social distancing and the crowds were shocking and scary given the current pandemic. I’ve been here in the past and it was busy, but this takes the cake. Herds of people on top of one another. Staff and police did nothing to social distance the lines and spread out the crowds. It’s a large property and there was so much they could have done. Clearly there was no limit on the number of tickets sold that they required be purchased in advance. It’s important to support local businesses, but this was beyond GREEDY.

Waste of money and way too crowded!!!
Sep 2020 • Family
Our family trip to go apple picking was awful this year. That is because we chose to go to Barton. They made you buy tickets online for $22 a piece. By doing this I figured it wouldn’t be too crowded because of COVID regulations. Well that was a mistake to think that. There were more people than I have ever seen at an orchard before. These people were laughing all the way to the bank. The lines for food were 100 people deep, there was no social distancing and people were not wearing masks while in close proximity. Never again will I go there and spend my money. WHAT A JOKE!!!!

Made money based on a lie

What is the purpose of purchasing tickets in advance if you are not limiting the number of tickets sold! 3 families went in my group - thats over $300 that Barton Orchards made on us, not including the pumpkins and apples. We've been coming here for years and this was a 100% disappointment! If you are not limiting people, don't advertise that you are! The lines for things are always long, but this was another level of ridiculous - with NO social distancing ability. We didn't do any of the kid activities because there was NO social distancing. Other years, you had the opportunity to select your admission ticket based on activity. With the online tickets, we had no choice but to purchase the $25/per person. You also advertised a Jack O Lantern Jubilee to justify the high price of the tickets...where were the jack o lanters?????? I'd love a refund!
