What a delight! I am a city girl and have never been to a Drive In Movie Theater. This location was large, clean, and a perfect way to watch a movie and be socially distant. We saw a double feature which for $10 per person was a great price.

Loved this original drive-in! Unlike the ones popping up in empty fields or large parking lots, this is the real deal. Plenty of room for everyone to get a view of the oversized screen. I really enjoyed the hum of activity prior to the movie as kids were running and playing, people picnicking and having fun. The sound over the radio was fantastic. The refreshment stand and bathrooms are vintage but that just adds to the authentic experience. Plon on buying some popcorn and enjoy a great night at the movies.

Took my family of 5, cost was very fair for 2 movies. $37 to get in. You are allowed to bring your own snacks. Popcorn and drinks reasonably priced and 1/2 price refills in between movies. Great family experience at a very fair price.

I love coming here with my family, we bring food, a table, and chairs. As mentioned, I usually bring food, but kids always want a little something more for the concession stand. There are no “bad seats.” The Drive-In make for great memories!!

This was our first drive-in movie. My son is four, and he really enjoyed watching the Incredibles 2 outside. It was an incredible experience!!! Highly recommend it. They show two movies, and you are entitled to stay for both, if you so desier!

Me, my husband, our son and a friend of his took a 3 day road trip exploring the Hudson River Valley. I discovered the Overlook Drive In, which was a short ride from our hotel. Since we don't have drive in near our home, it was a great opportunity for the boys to experience something new to them. They really enjoyed it. The "commercials " were straight out of the fifties, but we listened to the movie through our car radio. It was nice to see tail gaters and folks sitting in lawn chairs by their cars. If you're looking for a good time, you won't be disappointed here.

I enjoyed myself a lot! One downside may be the lack of clarity of certain movies. Just saw the Conjuring 2, and because the movie was so dark, it was so hard to actually see a lot of scenes. Other than that, I really enjoy watching the old time ads before and between movies.

Harken to the past at the Overlook Drive in a FULLY DIGITAL drive in theatre. We are so blessed in the Poughkeepsie area to have such a great entertainment experience. They have a great web site to check out movies etc. They are also on facebook. Mondays are bargain nights $6 per person [regularly $10 per person]. They sell discount books for folks like us who go every weekend. They feature a full service snack bar. Overlook Drive In is dog friendly. Please note that due to the construction of the DeGarmo Rd Bridge, You can only enter from the Rt 55 side because the Rt 44 side is closed.

I enjoyed seeing double features as a child with my family and I also enjoy the drive-in with my wife and two young boys. The place has not changed much over the years. There is a system on where to park (depending on vehicle type). The snack bar has a lot of workers and adequate choices (candy, popcorn, hot dogs, coffee, cold drinks, ice cream etc.) The bathrooms are old but you're in and you're out. You listen to the sound over your vehicle radio. For really popular double features I suggest getting there early because there are a lot of "professionals" who set up early at their spot with blankets, chairs, coolers, radios, tables, etc. This is a family owned and operated attraction and they have done a nice job of keeping the place open over the years. There is a website with a lot of information. Kids can play frisbee, catch, etc on a large grassy area in fron of the giant screen. My only negative is I wish they would put a fresh coat of paint on the building and clean the grounds better- although you are there for the movies and fun family experience. There are discount nights too- which is a great deal. Go there- you will enjoy!
