I've been thinking about doing this for some time. Today the weather was perfect and our friends were free so we drove a little over an hour to Poughkeepsie. Parking at the Parker Avenue lot is convenient; it is right at the entrance to the park. It's a long walk for children and there a very few benches to rest... More

Fantastic place to get beautiful views of the Hudson River. I have been several times, but recently went for one of the Walkway's "Moonwalk" walks, and it was fantastic. $5 for non-members, but well worth it. Bridge has lights in some areas for safety, but areas between where you can stand and just look at the Hudson River at night... More

This is a great spot for walking your dog biking or just going out for a walk. Also has elevator for people who need it. Wonderful views during fall foliage. Great place walk from Poughkeepsie side or Highland side.

A very nice walkway over the Hudson River, open to pedestrians and cyclists. Pets are allowed, parking is available at a number of places along the route with an elevator at the river on the east side. There are a few loops to be followed, the longest being 4.5 miles that runs both sides of the river and back through... More

This is an excellent place to take visitors to experience our gorgeous Hudson River Valley. It is accessible to all and an easy, flat walk. Only 1.25 miles each way.

I love this little over a mile walk way over the Hudson River. Sometimes I even feel the urge to run it. Children love this as a family outing.

Great views and a nice walk over the Hudson. The entry point from the Poughkeepsie side is a bit tricky to find. Once you find it the walk is easy and level. Plenty of people walking, jogging, and biking.

Coming to the Hudson Valley? The Walkway Over The Hudson is a must for your "to do" list. This walking, running, and biking path spans the Hudson River from Poughkeepsie to Highland in NYS. It is also stroller and pet friendly. Walk as much or as little as you like. Not up to walking the whole way across and back?... More

Whenever I have some down time, I trek over to the Walkway Over the Hudson. Every season brings another beautiful view of the Hudson River with the reflection of the changing foliage or the crew team practicing or a tug boat pulling a barge, or a family enjoying a summer boat ride. It never gets old! I'm looking forward to... More

Every now and then, we'd hop over to the Walk-over-the-Hudson for that "undisturbed-Relaxed-rejuvenating" walk. The scenic views and the breeze.....AHH..... Breath in....Breath out.... Feel refreshed?
