About
Located on US Route 20 in Portland, NY between Westfield and Brocton, this new winery was built among grape vineyards and cherry orchards which provides a beautiful backdrop to enjoy a glass of finely-crafted wine. The winery, which opened in September 2011 has a wide variety of wines to choose from including dry, semi-sweet and sweet wines - something for everyone's palette.

Best of the Lake Erie Wineries!!!
Jul 2021
Friends took us on a Lake Erie winery tour. This was by far our favorite - both the wine & the winery!! We were lucky enough to have Cindy as our personal pourer! She was lively & personable & we enjoyed every moment of our tasting with her. The restaurant/tasting room is big & bright & airy. The entire atmosphere is uplifting. The wine was good & we all took bottles away (even though we usually don't purchase bottles at our tastings!!). We even bought a couple of the beautiful glasses they use for their tastings. Highly recommend a stop at this excellent winery!!!

The best of the day!

This was, by far, the best experience of the four wineries we visited while camping in the area. The man who served us was very friendly, informative and just plain nice. All the wines I tasted were good - hard to pick one-two to purchase. And they clearly care about the customer - willing to put things in place to protect from COVID 19 yet still have wine tastings that customers would enjoy and remember. Beautiful environment too.

Last minute stop

We stopped on our way from Jamestown. Fairly new constructed structure. There is a lot of room to hang out and enjoy a glass of wine. We had the hot apple wine. Bought a bottle of the apple wine to serve hot for after dinner on Thanksgiving.

Wonderful Winery

We just love this winery! Wines are very good and the biulding is new, spacious and comfortable with table seating and large leather sofas, perfect for relaxing with a bottle of wine and a cheese and crackers tray. A nice variety of snack food is available. They host a good variety of events through the year that are well-attended and fun.

One of our absolute favorites on the trail.
Aug 2019
Last year we stopped at 21 Brix and headed back to North East. We returned this year to visit the wineries we didn't last year. BUT a return to 21 Brix was a must. Our first winery visit this trip. Staff is the nicest, helpful but not pushy. Great selections of wines and of course a gift shop area. A lot of folks stop to do their picture with their famous Pink Elephant.. Don't just stop to get your picture folks, go in and do a tasting. We did a single bottle purchase for something to enjoy that evening at the B&B. But we promised we would be back. We purchased 3 bottles of wine plus a larger bottle of Ella's Red to enjoy the rest of our stay at the B&B. Worked out perfectly. One of our favorite wineries on the trail.

We did a wine tasting here...mind you we are NOT wine connoisseurs....but the staff that served us here was just amazing! She shared info with us and helped us make informed choices to try. We left with some interesting flavors.

Lake Erie NY Wineries
Jun 2019 • Couples
Its that time of year where I take my annual Wine trips with friends June 25, 2019 to June 28, 2019. Thus year we decided to do Lake Erie NY wineries and a trip to Ohio, stopping in the city of Cleveland and the Berlin Amish Countryside.

As an aside for any wine tastings, you will have a much better experience visiting the winery during the week.

Stop 4: 21 Brix Winery: This a beautiful winery, with immaculate grounds and tasting room. You cannot miss the entrance. It has a large Pink Elephant in front of it. We did our tastings here with another great hostess. This was my favorite winery on the trip by far, their wines were of high quality. (Estate Grown) They had excellent, Chardonnays, and Rieslings. They even had an excellent Cabernet Sauvignon for the region. (A short growing Season for Cabs). What was interesting here, is that you could taste the symmetry of the wines from varietal to varietal. I call this, the wine makers style. The winemaker at 21 Brix has a specific style and it can be tasted and experienced with each wine he produces. Out hostess actually got the wine maker Chris (who was on site that day) and we were able to chat with him. We selected the Chardonnay, although there were other worthy alternatives to choose from. I would recommend not missing this winery on your Lake Erie Wine tour,
