This was one of the best experiences we had! Booked a private charter for fishing with family and friends. Some seasoned and some first timers. Communication was great with Captain Ken!
The day before trip was not looking great as weather was supposed to be bad, captain Ken contacted me the day before in the early afternoon to discuss options. Spoke to the rest of my family and friends and decided to take the chance and meet in the morning. Captain Ken agreed that if it look bad and dangerous we would still get the option to postpone the trip. Early morning around 8 AM. Weather was still not looking too great rain on and off. However, looking at the weather forecast, it was starting to look better throughout the day so we decided to go for it.
At first, it started off a bit slow as we were searching around for a good location. Captain Ken decided to make the call and we switched locations and the kids started to catch some porgies. As the day went on at some points rain did hit hard but I think this only put some excitement to the trip.
After a bit in this place and kids caught some fish we decided to hunt for bigger fish. Well a picture says a thousand words as you can see captain Ken and his mates did over and over again as we hunted them down. 16 large Blues!!! Everyone had a great experience and we caught more then anyone could have expected.
The crew was extremely helpful and very nice. Helped at the end to filet all the fish that we caught.
This day was a lot of fun for all adults and kids and can’t wait to do this very soon. Would 100% be booking again with Captain Ken! Been on a lot of private caters all over and I would say he is one of the ones up there being the best. Great job angler crew!!!

Went out on Angler Fleet III on June 11 in the afternoon with my son. Had booked for the morning trip but due to lack of people on that trip wound up on the afternoon trip. Captain Ken called me a day before and offered to switch bookings which we did. I appreciated that they reached out prior to arrival so that we didn't get there and find out about the cancellation.
We had a very nice outing. My son caught 3 fluke but unfortunately they were not keepers. I caught a sea robin which had to be returned too. Captain Ken moved the boat multiple times to find better spots but the fish weren't trying to make it too easy for us this day. Regardless, it was a nice outing for my son and me.
Most importantly, I wanted to mention how Captain Ken and his Mate Pete made the day an enjoyable one. They were extremely helpful to my son, me and all fisherman that day and made the trip a positive experience. My son is actually autistic and has speaking issues, and both Ken and Pete were extremely patient and kind to my son. I really appreciated that and my son (and I) were very happy with the entire experience. Captain Ken actually had my son come up to the bridge on the return to Port and let him steer the boat. That was an extremely nice gesture on his part and very much appreciated.
Given my experience, I would highly recommend Angler Fleet as a nice outing for anyone to consider. In particular if you have someone of special needs, Captain Ken and Pete have a nice manner and will make them feel very welcome on their boat.
Thank you both for making this a memorable outing.

Captain Pete and his first mate knowingly put myself and 39 of my friends in danger just to make a buck! We all knew the forecast was bad, our phones were all giving us warnings. We asked Captain Pete of The Angler IV out of Port Washington several times if we should reschedule. But he said it would be fine, “no problem we may have just a light passing shower”. Okay, he is a professional right? He knows better. WRONG!!! He took us out and within 20 minutes it was raining and 10 minutes after that torrential rain, thunder, lightning, and ZERO VISIBILITY! All so he could get our money. He should have rescheduled. But he knew he could leave the dock, take the money and come back to dock. When we cut our trip short because we had 40 people crammed inside of the small cabin with a storm raging outside, those of us that grew up on the water knew it wasn’t safe insisted that we go back. Captain Pete and his first mate proceeded to scream at me and my friends, all middle aged professionals, on the boat to “Shut The F@#$* UP!” as he and his first mate panicked trying to dock their subpar vessel in this awful storm. Along with their being unprofessional the crew of The Angler IV was extremely reckless!

I booked a private charter for my brothers bachelor party on the Angler V. We had 10 people and there was PLENTY of room and you could easily fit 15-18 people comfortably for fishing. Captain Pete was AMAZING! But 1st mate Bern she really made the trip SOO much fun!! I will 100% be coming back to fish with Captain Pete and Bern! We did a day fishing trip for fluke and porgies and caught quite a few fish but only one keeper fluke. We will be coming back down for a night fishing trip for Stripers for sure! I would 1000% recommend this charter and I would definitely ask for Captain Pete and Bern!!! We had a blast and look forward to fishing with these guys again!

If you want to catch fish then don’t waste your time and money with this company. We were out in the ocean for nearly 7 hours and hardly caught anything – what a joke!! I wish I can give them less than one star rating.

A group of friends and I went out on the Angler V and had the BEST time! Even those of us inexperienced with fishing were able to catch a few thanks to Captain Ken and his commitment to finding areas where there would be plenty of fish for everyone. Overall one of the best weekends of the summer and I highly recommend them to everyone!

This was the 4 time I did the fireworks cruise with Captain Pete. It was great, he stops and talks about some of the different areas around the sound. He puts us in a perfect position to view the fireworks. I definitely would recommend this for a great evening to be on the water in summer.

If you've ever wanted to learn what it felt like to be a sardine in a can, this is the place to go! They really pack them in on the boat, and if your line is long enough, I'll bet they'd even let you fish from the roof! I went fishing with my boyfriend, and every pole place was taken -- even right up to the point of the bow on the ship (I should mention that I arrived about 1/2 hour prior to the reservation time, and was directed to the front of the boat). A couple of people weren't even at a pole stand because everyone's lines were getting tangled; one person's pole broke in the process of one of these entanglements. If you're familiar with fishing boats, you know that there is no shade at the bow of the ship. If you wanted to turn your body, you were stepping on someone else's feet or knocking over the small container holding the bait. If you were at the bow of the boat, you had to fish sideways (I kid you not). So, in summary, no room, no shade, and no where to sit (except the toilet and the inner corridor of the ship, but then you would not be fishing, would you?)! I expressed my concern with "Captain Ken" the next day, and was advised that they will pack in as many as possible, due to the short season that they can make money. Understandable, but inhumane. Oh, and speaking of money, the GroupOn that claims to save you $25 is actually a $5 savings. I did not use a GroupOn myself, so I wasn't too dismayed about this, but that is false advertising. My suggestion, Captain, is to charge a few dollars more and stick to the fishing instead of cattle calling.
Added Note: I wanted to mention which boat I was on, but there is no photo of it. It was really small, and the bow had steps up to where we were expected to fish sideways, and there were steps going up to the Bridge. The boats on the Angler site shows seating along the front and no steps to either the Bridge nor the front of the ship.

Customer has no experience in party boat fishing.
Ranted on many review boards after we spoke. Was looking for a free trip, thought she would get it by complaining. She thought wrong.
Party Boat fishing isn’t for everyone. Sunny summer weekends tent to get crowded but we never OVERCROWD our boats. If you do not want or like the crowds. I suggest booking a private charter.
