If you want to catch fish then don’t waste your time and money with this company. We were out in the ocean for nearly 7 hours and hardly caught anything – what a joke!! I wish I can give them less than one star rating.

I took my 12 year old son, who really likes fishing, for his birthday. Not knowing what to expect, yet knowing my sea sickness, I was worried. However the crew was great. Phil, Lex, and Stan were very knowledgeable and super helpful from start to finish - and they were nice guys that were easy to talk with and ask questions to. I think we stopped at 5 locations as the captain kept trying to find the fish. People all around us were catching snappers, robin fish, flounder (no keepers) and porgies, even one puffer fish. My son and I found our luck at the 3rd stop where we caught a total of 5 porgies - all keepers. The crew helped unhook them, provided us a bucket to keep the fish fresh, then later filleted them for us - which made a great lunch when we grilled them at home. By the last stop my son was done fishing but I could’ve kept going, so the timing for kids is just right. Overall great experience. Do note that fishing poles are not included and cost $5 to rent for the trip. Best part was staying in the sound in calm waters and I never felt nauseous. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

A group of friends and I went out on the Angler V and had the BEST time! Even those of us inexperienced with fishing were able to catch a few thanks to Captain Ken and his commitment to finding areas where there would be plenty of fish for everyone. Overall one of the best weekends of the summer and I highly recommend them to everyone!

Captain Pete and his first mate knowingly put myself and 39 of my friends in danger just to make a buck! We all knew the forecast was bad, our phones were all giving us warnings. We asked Captain Pete of The Angler IV out of Port Washington several times if we should reschedule. But he said it would be fine, “no problem we may have just a light passing shower”. Okay, he is a professional right? He knows better. WRONG!!! He took us out and within 20 minutes it was raining and 10 minutes after that torrential rain, thunder, lightning, and ZERO VISIBILITY! All so he could get our money. He should have rescheduled. But he knew he could leave the dock, take the money and come back to dock. When we cut our trip short because we had 40 people crammed inside of the small cabin with a storm raging outside, those of us that grew up on the water knew it wasn’t safe insisted that we go back. Captain Pete and his first mate proceeded to scream at me and my friends, all middle aged professionals, on the boat to “Shut The F@#$* UP!” as he and his first mate panicked trying to dock their subpar vessel in this awful storm. Along with their being unprofessional the crew of The Angler IV was extremely reckless!
