We were pleased with the view and the vibe inside was good. However we were disappointed with the girls who poured our tastings. Their knowledge was non-existent and for the number one rated tasting room we were left wondering where the review came from. The...More

Well maintained and bustling tasting room. Opportunities for vineyard tours. Places to sit outside on a warm day. Plenty of selection and a nice market set up on the opposite side of the tasting room. Nice wines too!

Beautiful spot with great wine and yummy food! It is dog friendly (other than cafe area). Large complex, a few big groups came and went while we were there but it is a nice open space that it didn’t phase our wonderful time. We had...More

The white wines are very tasty here, and the setting on the western slopes of Seneca Lake are very pretty. The local cheeses are wonderful. I found that the process for the tour and the tasting was disorganized.

We went there with a large group of 17 people and had a reservation for a wine tasting. We were directed to a private barn-like area where we could all be together. The wines were very good and the staff friendly. They also served some...More

Fox Run was one of the better wineries we visited. Knowledgeable staff and good wines. Ended up buying a couple bottles to take with us.

3 wineries, can only see 2. Which 2? (5 Replies)
We're going to be visiting the Finger Lakes next month and in the path we're taking only have time to see 2 wineries. The 3 potential wineries are: Billsboro Winery, Red Tail Ridge Winery, and Fox Run Vineyards. Which one do we NOT see?

IMO all are good choices, which is confirmed by generally high ratings for each on TA (check out their individual ratings to see the opinions of dozens of folks, not just me or a couple of others that will likely respond to this). All 3 facilities understand hospitality. It may come down to the style of wines you tend to like most - sweeter/dry, red/white, still/sparkling, table/dessert - as there are some differences in the offerings. Brouse each of the wineries' web sites to see what each...More
