Tastings are outside in several areas. We were seated on the patio, facing the lake. We chose a high-top table but they have other seating available. Our servers were friendly but one didn't have the mask over his nose. Wine tastings are grouped and price is per group. We got an additional introductory taste of cider and an ending taste of our choice. Wine tastings come with a small mix of nuts, dry fruit and candy. We ordered a small charcutier (sausage, cheese, crackers and more of the mix) tray. Wines were pretty good. We did buy one bottle to go. The winery is on an upper hill area with great breeze and view of the lake. No music. Set up for people attending 30-40 minute tastings. Food is limited to cheese cracker type of offering. Glasses given to take with tastings. Owner is friendly and professional.

Only the Port was good enough to buy, in my book. None of the other wines were as nice as what some of the other wineries had on offer. We stopped in at Rooster Hill again this year in August. Unfortunately, they did not have the Port bottled yet, so we left again.…

This was our first visit to Rooster Hill. It is a cute red barn type building with a metal rooster proudly welcoming everyone to the entry. The lady who did our wine tasting was very sweet and knowledgeable. Tastings are $7 for 5 tastes which includes a nice wine glass. The wines we tasted were all good. We had the Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Lemberger, Cab. Franc and Gewürztraminer. Our favorites were the Cab. Franc and Gewurztraminer. Since we were there on a Friday, our server invited us to come back for the event they have on Wednesday & Friday evenings - wine & light fare food prepared by their chef. Unfortunately, we were unable to return (at least on this trip!) It sounded like fun - not sure but they may have music too.…
