We visited the winery on an overcast day, It was very busy, but the staff handled the flow of customers well. Before enjoying the beautiful outdoor space, we did a tasting with Jim. He was knowledgeable about the wines, presented them well, talked about the history of Keuka Springs and the lake in general. He made our tasting unique, interesting and one of the best experiences of the day. Thank you, Jim! I highly recommend a trip to this winery!

My wife and I visited here because it was closest to where we were staying on Keuka Lake, but we feel like we lucked out, because this was our favorite of the Finger Lakes wineries we visited. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and we really enjoyed our tasting. Add to that the beautiful setting, and it’s an all-round great experience.

This was a return visit that did not disappoint. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and you are not rushed. There is a good selection of whites and reds and all are very nice. There is an outdoor seating area with lots of picnic tables and seating with a view of the lake to enjoy a picnic and a glass of wine.

I confess that we are not wine experts -- we just like to order a glass of wine and sit outside at a winery that has a Great Lake view. We usually order a Chardonnay and that's it. The one we ordered here was un-oaked and it tasted great to us. But the icing on the cake was the outdoor seating (lots of chairs) and the dynamite view of Keuka Lake. The service at the winery was excellent, the wine was good and the view was more than we expected. For those doing a tasting, the area for that was very nice with a large window overlooking the beautiful lake. Definitely recommend.

We did a wine tasting ($8) which was great. Their wine tasting counter faces windows which look out onto the lake. It is a beautiful scene. We had a glass of wine sitting out on the small deck with lovely views. Overall, it was a great stop and a wonderful environment. Highly recommended.

This winery was by far my favorite! The scenery was breathtaking! We sat in the Adirondack chairs facing the beautiful lake with a bottle of riesling. They also had corn hole in the yard. The wines ranged from dry to sweet, the dry Riesling was my favorite. It was $10 for 5 tastings which was quite reasonable. The workers were very knowledgeable and friendly. They had a nice gift shop. The downside was the winery didn’t have any food. It will be a perfect spot for a bistro to sit and relax while drinking wonderful wines and taking in beauty.

Great tasting with Pat...and chat with Bill about his heritage and about Germany! The wine is always amazing, the view is breathtaking and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. I think they did a great job with COVID protocal...people were socially distanced for tastings and the staff wore face coverings at all time. We will be back again soon!

This is one of my favorite wineries, with only one other that was comparable (Heron Hill was the only one that was nearly as good). The gentleman that served us was a retired school principle and was very welcoming. He was not only knowledgable about the wines, but also about the Keuka lake area. The wines themselves are very good and most are reasonably priced.

We were out for a late season sunny day and thought this might be a good stop. we have never been to this winery before.
We were a bit concerned about the crowd but sat outside, away from others, while we waited for a tastings. Give your name and wait to be called.
At the tasting we were at the bar, separated from others. But the sales room, where the tasting occur was crowded.
I will say the wine was pretty good. We bought two bottles to go.
We cut our time inside short.
They do have nice, clean bathrooms and the staff, and owners, were polite.

The person serving wine here knew the wines inside and out, and easily recommended particular wines based on even a novice's articulation of their tastes. The wines are superb expressions of the local varietals, very well balanced. It is easy to see why their wines have won so many awards!

Hi. Yes, you are welcome to bring your own snacks. In addition, we have a cooler stocked with local cheeses and sausage, and cookies, jerky, crackers, pretzels, biscotti, crisps, sauces, and more snacks available to complement your picnic. Or you may also order a lunch from The Flour Shop in Penn Yan. On Sunday afternoons in August, we have a visiting food truck as well.

We carry a local cheese assortment, and various picnic snacks--pretzels, potato chips, crackers, chocolate, and sauces. There also is a sandwich and salad menu from The Flour Shop available for delivery during the week.

Hi,
We are looking at visiting Keuka Lake in April this year.
We aren't wine fanatics, and are not going to be buying a load to take around with us. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a place we could just get a tour of a vineyard, information on the grapes, and the process of turning it into wine, and then having a taste of the final product.
Any thoughts?

Hi Dan,
Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, these type of tours are not on our regular schedule and at this time only available to our wine club members. However, many people enjoy visiting our location, taking in our scenic view of Keuka Lake with a glass of wine on our patio. Something to consider. You are welcome to stop in for a tasting. In April, we are open daily from 10 to 5 pm.
