We purchased the Groupon for a wine tasting for two. It was a good value and allowed Marylou and I to taste 10 wines. It was a lot of wine and the cheese and salami was good and a good amount of food. In general we enjoyed the wines, and the outdoor tasting area.

Visited on a weekday afternoon in July. Decor is pretty old school. This was the only winery of 10 we went to that was offering tastings at their standing tasting bar, or you could take your flight outside on a tray yourself. We opted to stay at the bar for a change up from other places. The older gentlemen operating the tasting area were nice and funny, they enjoyed the wines and wanted to tell us about the, themselves to find wine that we would like.
They offered “charcuterie” in prepackaged containers. Wine brought my rating down a bit, but that is a personal preference.

Great place for a day at a LI vineyard! We were looking for a casual, outdoor experience for a birthday celebration with friends who enjoy wine, live music and an all-around fun experience. We had friends who were from overseas visiting, some first-time vineyard folks and non-drinkers who all enjoyed the overall Osprey experience. We brought some of our own snacks and noshes, bought lots of wine and enjoyed the picnic tables under the shady tree while swooning to great music throughout the day. Osprey does a great job of keeping a day at the vineyards as casual and relaxing as you could imagine without gouging your wallet. Their staff was friendly and courteous throughout the day. Memories were made and we always enjoy returning. We saw many families of every generation enjoying the grounds. Not a frown to be seen.

I took a limo to the wineries. We had an amazing time. The bartender (Began with an I?) was very knowledgeable and she knew her wine very well. This is what I purchased. Mostly reds but my GF liked a few whites.
2x 2014 Merlot
2x 2014 Meritage - highly recommend this.
1x 2013 (Reserve) Merlot
2x 2018 Malbec
2x 2014 Richmond Creek Merlot
1x 2021 Riesling
2x Sauvignon Blanc

The first picture is my wine rack getting full with Osprey wine. Going to join the wine club and get 2 bottles every 2 months of that exists. Thanks for a wonderful time

We decided to go out to this winery because we found it on a Groupon. When we arrived, we were told that unfortunately there was no more cheese, crackers and meat. I then asked the bartender, Peter, what will we receive instead since we are not receiving what the Groupon promised? He told us that we would get a complementary glass of wine with it. It wasn’t his fault that the cheese and meat wasn’t available. The product was not delivered to the winery. Social distancing and mask wearing was being followed.

It was a picture perfect Fall day. We decided to go Out East to wine country. We packed a cooler with cheese, crackers and meats for a charcuterie board and headed to Ospreys Dominion. We set up on an outdoor table, purchased a bottle and enjoyed the live music, and sunshine. We decided to go inside and try a tasting. We bought two bars of chocolate and they gave us a small cheese tray to highlight the tasting. It was a fantastic day.

Really enjoyed this winery. The wine itself was great. They had an unusual gewürztraminer. The person who served us was lovely, and her partner behind the bar was an encyclopedia of wine knowledge. Lovely setting.

We've been to Osprey numerous times and always return because of two reasons...Great Wine and a relaxing comfortable atmosphere. We have a saying in our home; "let's go wherever the wind takes us"...funny thing during cold winter Sunday's in January or February on Long Island, it generally leads to the North Fork and most probably a winery. This past Sunday was such a day and lo and behold we ended up at one of our favorites...Osprey Dominion Vineyards! The place is awesome any time of year, we've been here so many times that we can remember when it was just a small crowded tasting room and showroom. Times change and now the tasting room is expansive, open and eye catching, but you know what hasn't changed over the past 20 years we have been going here...the service and wine are as exceptional now as it was back when they were one of the originals on the North Fork.

Brian and Katelyn were behind the tasting bar and they could not have been more friendly, attentive and informative. My wife and I went through the 5 tastings each with varying tastes (we're the iconic Billy Joel song cliche' Bottle of Red (Me), Bottle of White (Her) ). While we chose our bottles to take home and stock the wine refrig and rack with several varying bottles (their Spice Wine has always been and will always be a 'must buy')', Katelyn reminded us that the fire pit was hot and the S'mores were calling our name....oh yeah! This is how everyone should brave a Long Island Cold Winter afternoon. Well be back in the spring and/or summer just to stock up again and enjoy the vineyard during the growing season

Osprey's Dominion Vineyards is a Must visit! The wine is amazing, and the live music was a nice way to enjoy a glass of wine with friends. If you have never been to Long Island, the following is offered to provide a brief overview of the Island. Long Island stretches from Brooklyn in the west to Montauk in the east and is shaped like a lobster claw. There are three main east-west highways including the Long Island expressway (LIE or 495), Northern state parkway and Southern State Parkway. Likewise the major North South Highways include the Cross island Parkway, Meadowbrook Parkway , Wantagh parkway and the Sagtikos/Sunken Meadow parkway. The North shore on the Long Island sound is characterized by Large trees and rocky beaches as opposed to the south shore with pristine sandy beaches. Jones beach on the south shore stretches for miles from the Meadowbrook Parkway on the west end to Robert Moses state Park on the east end. Jones Beach is nothing like the Jersey shore in which there is nothing but beaches, no hotels. The east end, Robert Moses State Park is the point where Fire Island begins and can be accessed from Robert Moses state park. Jones Beach can be accessed from the Meadowbrook Parkway in the west, the Sagtikos parkway on the east end and the Wantagh parkway in the center that brings you into the traffic circle with the infamous “Pencil” water tower. Separating Fire Island from the main island is the Great South bay perfect for fishing, boating and other water activities. Traveling east on the island brings you to Riverhead where the North shore and South shore split. There is a lot to do in the Riverhead area including Splish Splash water park, and Tanger Outlets. On the North shore are the Hamptons (consisting of West Hampton, Hampton bays, Bridge Hampton and east Hampton). Travelling east will bring you to the “The End” Montauk Point perfect for a quiet get away, fishing, Spas, hiking and Camping just to name a few things to do. The North Fork of Long island is Orient Point, much quieter with B&Bs. Orient point offers ferry service to New London CT. Between the North and South Forks is Shelter Island accessible only via boat or Ferry. The North Shore of long Island east of riverhead is known for their Long island wineries, B&Bs and farmstands. The North shore of Long Island has many great towns with a multitude of history including Great Neck, Glen Cove, Huntington, Stony Brook and Port Jefferson. Port Jefferson is a great town to spend a day and catch a ferry across the Sound to CT. There is so much to do on long Island that you should not plan to cover it in one trip. Enjoy!

I've made many visits to Osprey's over the years, it is and has always been one of the wineries I always make a point to stop at. I used to work in the Limousine industry for several years, so I have been to many North Fork Wineries... Osprey's one of my favorites. One thing I will say about all wineries is all it takes is one Party Bus full of drunken revelers to ruin your experience. My last visit was when just one of those bachelor/bachelorette parties had just left. The staff rebounded well from that situation and had their game face on for my much more reserved group of two people. The staff was kind and very well read on the selection of wines that Osprey produced.
The tasting room is well renovated from when I used to visit years back, and they have a cozy outdoor area for enjoying the afternoon when weather permits.
There are a few good wineries that are one the "must see" list. Osprey's is definitely one of them
