Made a reservation online and paid $50 for two tastings and realized within a couple of hours that we would not be not be able to attend after all. I went to my email confirmation to cancel and was not given that option I called lenz winery directly and they accepted my cancellation but said there are no refunds. What a scam. When booking there was no noticeable prompt that came up to advise that once purchased it’s not refundable. Do not patronize this establishment. This is not a way to conduct business. There was no attempt to make a reservation for another time or offer any credit.

It was a Tuesday.
Covid was around.

We were: 2 couples.
All 65 years old or older
Financially secure.

The server or wine specialist was:
A woman
The owner?
The owner’s significant other?
The owner’s daughter, daughter-in-law?
The owner’s girlfriend?
A longtime employee?
A new employee?

We sat down she walked over to us, we tried some silly repartee with her at which point she dismissed us and turned away. With that display of uncalled rudeness, we got up and left.

I ask, during these tough times when sales are off. When people are scrambling to make a living, when a company needs sales, when a server could use a nice tip, is this the way an employee and server should act?

Our answer is we will go somewhere else where we will spend our money while tipping a deserving individual. Lenz is off our list FOREVER.

This was mine and three other peoples’ opinion and choice.

1. Bathroom was a disgrace.
2. Have someone describe the wines, not just plop down tasting glasses all at once with no detail.
3. Food offerings and serving were poor.
4. Felt like “speed tasting”.
5. Setting was lovely.

Stopped in based on a friend's recommendation. The server was ambivalent at best and was not amused when we asked if there was a more picturesque area to sit and enjoy a glass of wine that the interior gravel pit area with cheap plastic chairs. There was not and the wines we sampled were sub par. Much better options about ...

This is a beautiful winery with an extraordinary staff and great wine! I spent my birthday there on Wednesday with a group of 10 people. Jerol is a gracious host and gave us an impromptu tour of the winery explaining Lenz’ history and vision. His incredible knowledge was only exceeded by his passion for wine making. And the wine is spectacular! Each tasting better than the next. It was a great way to spend a special day!

We stopped at Lenz Winery as part of a tour organized with North Fork Wine Tours (also highly recommended!). The staff there was great, and didn't bat an eye at our large group of 15 people. The wines were tasty, and the atmosphere was lovely. We event took a stroll through the vineyard after lunch!

I was recently on a bachelorette weekend with some friends in the North Fork. We were not a rowdy bunch, as one might imagine with a bachelorette party. We were not looking to get wasted, most of us are married with kids. Anyway, a lot of wineries don't welcome groups, and I can't say I blame them. Lenz is ok with groups as long as you reserve in advance, which we did. As soon as we arrived, we were given a lovely table in the courtyard right in the sunshine. We did the group tasting, which consisted of two white, one rose and two reds for $15 per person. Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable about the wine. He gave us plenty of time between each (generous) pour. We had a lovely experience. Highly recommended.

Of all our wine tasting stops during our visit to the East End, this was our most disappointing one. Arriving to the winery, the large, unpaved parking lot was chcok full. As we walked into the tasting area, it was clear the place was packed. They had large groups in different aras of the large back garden and the unpaved space between the various winery buildings. Our guide had to be quite proactive to attract the attentioon of one of the attendants. First we were offered a small table with two foldable chairs behind some hedges, clearly out of sight for weveryone in the winery. While private, we predicted we would wait until eternity before being served. Eventually we had the same table moved under a tree in and unpaved parking area where there were already two large groups tasting. Service was hurried, slow and unattentive. Seating was uncomfortable and we certainly didn't feel welcome. The wines were mediocre, at best, and certainly not worth another trip to this place. Avoid it, there are much better wineries and tasting experiences on the East End.

The best Vineyard. They know a lot about their wine and are more than happy to educate. Very friendly. Very knowledgeable. Pet friendly. Best wine.

Excellent stop along our wine route. A lovely old 'potato' farm with wonderful barn and gardens. The wine was fairly good and the servers were knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. One of the highlights was the taco truck. Some yummy shrimp and lobster taco's hit the spot.

Definitely stop here!
