Whenever we are in Old Forge we stop in here. They have so much stuff. Tools, dishes, collectibles, yard stuff, Christmas decor and ornaments.
They, like most everyone else in NY are practicing social distancing and masks wearing. NO MASK, NO ENTRY. The floor has all kinds of social distancing marks.
I especially enjoy seeing the brown lab that rules the roost here.
If you are new to Old Forge, this is a must see stop. Just steps from a beautiful water view. Good, FREE parking.

Our family camps in this area frequently. One of our favorite places to stop is the Old Forge Hardware store. This store is a fun family activity to walk through, but also is a great place to stock up on almost anything you might need. They have everything from hardware, to tools, to camping and fishing supplies. Do not miss when passing through Old Forge.

This place is a giant variety store , not really a hardware store ! Although they do have hardware , they also stock lots of camping & fishing gear, specialty foods & kitchen items, books, candy and so much more ! If you've never been, it's worth a stop !

This is such a fun place. To call it a hardware store is a misnomer. It has hardware, books, clothing, kitchen supplies, gifts, handmade items, fishing gear - the list goes on and on. The prices tend to be a bit high for things you can get at home and at peak times it can be a bit crowded, but all in all a fun place to visit. You might even find something you didn't know you wanted!

Had a terrible experience while visiting Old forge Hardware store and wanted to let people BEWARE!! My family were visiting the Old Forge area and were browsing the shops and stores. We spent a little time in this store and my husband and I left because everything in the store was extremely overpriced and soooo not worth it. On top of this, some CRAZY worker followed my family to another store down the street and was yelling and causing a confrontation. It was the most terrible experience and something that should not have been witnessed by my grand children and others in the area.
Seems that there was an issue with a grossly overpriced trinket that a store worker was handing to my 5 year old grand daughter?? It got broken? Who was responsible? My granddaughter was so distraught that they had to leave the area and I felt compelled to warn people.

This store is huge and has literally anything you could possibly think of. From camping supplies to home decor to Christmas decorations. There is something for everyone in this store!

What a comprehensive store! Not only everything you need hardware-wise, but also lots of fun picnic, camping, clothes, fishing things. Just going up and down the isles is fun!

Need something? You will find it here! Such a fun store to shop in. I especailly love that they carry high end woman's clothing! Who would guess you could find April Cornell clothing in a hardware store? If you are driving through or stayng near Old Forge, stop in to this store, You won't be disappointed!!

A one-stop shop. Really. Everything you need to make your Adirondack vacation complete. Need a book to read? Yarn for knitting? Outdoor furniture? Fishing gear? Kitchen utensils? Oh, and hardware. Great place to browse and kill time or stock up your camp.
