Incredible wine tasting experience! Close to the city.
Incredible moment. We enjoyed tasting the wines of Santorini and having the commentary by Yionnis. He made the experience very friendly and pleasant! We picked the meze degustation menu and I’d recommend it - the food featured the specialties of Greece and offered the best pairing for the wine. Recommend 5/5 🤩

A highlight of our time in Santorini!
We had a fabulous afternoon with the wine and cheese pairing, the sommeliers were really brilliant and good fun too. Felt very well looked after. Wine was amazing, particularly with the cheese pairings. A real highlight of our trip! Really enjoyed the tour and getting to go down to the cellar. Learnt a lot about the making of the wine in Santorini. So excited to enjoy our bottle once we are home in rainy Scotland!

A must visit while in Fira
What a treat to visit this winery while in Fira on Santorini Greece. Ilias, the head sommelier, provided us with a very educational tasting and tour. I would highly recommend going there during your visit to Fira. The way grape vines grow in Santorini is unique, and we really enjoyed all of the wines we tasted. Especially the sweet red. It is very similar to a Port, however, not fortified.

MAGNUM of Grace - patiently waiting!!
Our tour guide, Fani, arranged for us to visit Anhydrous for the end of our trip - we were warmly welcomed. The sommeliers were very knowledgable and made our experience very fun! We each chose something from the menu to share and did the wine tasting for Anhydrous (of course!). Our favorites were Santorini, Grace and the last digestive.....good food, good wine, even better company!

Fabulous cooking class and wine tasting
We went to Ahhydrous for a cooking class and wine tasting. We had David as our chef, Nikos as our waiter, Yanier the sommelier and Martin the manager also showed us around. Highly recommend the cooking class- David is a great chef and did a great job teaching and explaining the processes he used, ingredients and the local Greek history and his own secrets. Nikos, Yanier and Martin were also great hosts. You can also go for a tasting menu and pairing or just for lunch / dinner. Great activity near Fira.

    Great wines, friendly & accommodating
Great wine, friendly, and accommodating! This is perfectly located in Fira so I was able to walk just a few minutes from my hotel. It’s an open spacious atmosphere . Great selection of wines, friendly staff & I was so pleased they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions with gluten-free bread. This place is great for groups, couples or a solo visit!

    Wine tour - Santorini
Amazing food and wine. Would recommend the wine tour. Wine tasting was great also. Highly recommend. If you have a pre arrange tour with kids I would suggest you make sure they have kids spaghetti added as an extra. The kids may not like the food they provide on the wine tour. The staff were lovely and accomodating.

Best wine and food in Santorini! The food is special! Delicious and different! Wines are tasteful and different from the traditional wines we use to drink! Environment is quiet and chic! We definitely recommend this one !!!!

Amazing food, wine and cooking class!
Had a wonderful afternoon with delicious food and lots of wine! My husband and I had such a fun (and private!) cooking class making authentic yummy Santorini Greek food, and then had a beautiful lunch with delicious wine pairing. Was such a delightful surprise as we didn’t expect it be so special. Highly recommend! We especially enjoyed our private chef/instructor. He was so knowledgeable and made the whole experience so fun!

    Fantastic winery!
Anhydrous Winery was such a great stop on our trip! We walked here from Fira and we joined up for a quick tour that takes you down into their basement. They have really unique fermentation vessels and it was very interesting to see them. We then got a table in the courtyard for our tasting and we absolutely loved everything we tried; their whites, rosé, and their reds were great and we loved the breadsticks and olives that accompanied them. We also got the deconstructed galakoboureko with mastiha ice cream and that was absolutely divine! The service was also fantastic here and it's just a wonderful place overall. We'd 100% come back again!

We pay a visit to Anhydrous winery at Fira.
We walked in and although we haven't any reservation , the guy with the wooden bow tie (Michael) welcome us in and our personal waitress make us a free wine tour and suggest us to do a Santorini experience.
We asked if we could smoke but they said smoking is forbidden but in the same time the manager and another gentleman we're smoking in the bar. That's outrageous.
The waitress also brought us a Rose wine from central Greece which is far away from having Santorini experience and in the same time , two meters away , a group of people we're having Rose wine from Santorini and the other smoking guy was explaining , serving the wine and we were hearing everything.
Michael very politely brought us a magnum bottle of this Rose wine and offered us another red and apologize .
Discriminations though can't be accepted.
They should have one smoking and drinking policy.

Absolutely beautiful surroundings. I would book separately and spend time there rather than an excursion because you can stay longer. We had a tour, tasted 7 wines, 6 cheeses, had bread sticks and dips and all for less the €25 each. We didn't want to leave so chose to have a glass of our favourite wine and an absolutely beautiful chocolate dessert. We absolutely loved it here.. couldn't reccomend it enough. We are going to have some wine shipped to the UK... perfect day!!

We seriously cannot recommend this place enough. After reading such great reviews we decided to visit here for lunch and it did not disappoint!

Upon arrival we were treated to a personalised tour of the winery which was really interesting and we learned a lot about the unique way the vines are grown in Santorini. We then sat down for the 'mezze and wine tasting' which was the most epic 7-course lunch we've ever had. The octopus and the feta doughnuts were both incredible but the star of the show was the moussaka with the chef's own secret blend of spices. The quality of food is outstanding and is definitely the best value meal we've ever had!

After finishing the meal, we waddled over to the shop and bought two bottles of wine to bring back as presents for friends as we felt like we'd underpaid for the incredible quality of food, wine and service on offer. Definitely give this a go if you have an afternoon free and make sure you arrive hungry!

AMAZING winery with some great wines and collection. The staff is extremely friendly and polite. I decided to go for wine tasting and I cannot be thankful for such a great choice of winery and experience here.
Michael Alektoridis was very professional yet friendly who welcomed me for the winery and gave a free wine tour and with great information about the different types of wines and history behind them.
I was then let to taste 4 different type of wines (2 white, 1 Rose and 1 Red) for a small price with nibbles and a very tasty dish.
Michael explained the relevance of these wines and how to actually taste them.
He made the whole experience even greater.
I would recommend this winery which is walkable distance from Fira center to have an exceptional experience.

We booked on for the tour and meze platter with wine pairing. Our tour guide Michael was so lovely and knowledgeable, and the food and wines were both incredible. Considering it's a vineyard, I was seriously impressed with the food and would recommend it to everyone visiting Santorini. The wines were also so good that we'll be looking to import some back to the UK in the future. It was a perfect end to our time in Santorini.

I can’t recommend this experience highly enough. Anhydrous Cellar Door & winery is a little gem. We booked the Meze Experience & were amazed & impressed by the hospitality & delicious food & wines that we received. We went in the afternoon & spent a very enjoyable 3 hours drinking & eating.

Go with an empty stomach. The food is especially superb & generously portioned. It is perfectly paired with wonderful wines…all for the bargain price of 40 euros. The standard of service & gastronomy truly was exceptional, especially for the price. Don’t hesitate to book - you will not be disappointed.

I went to Avantis with my wife for wine tasting and lunch. My first impressions of the location were very good and I especially loved how the winery is located in an old converted outdoor cinema. We each had the €40 euro set menu that includes 7 wine tastings and many different dishes to accompany them. The experience was absolutely blissful and we were completely blown away by the quality of wines and the level and the contemporary take on the Greek cuisine. The service and hospitality were impeccable and I would highly recommend Avantis. It was an incredible experience that we will remember for a very long time.

What a wonderful experience! All of the tasting options available sounded so good that we really struggled to decide which to go for. In the end we opted for the “cheese lovers” wine and cheese tasting menu. On the website this is advertised as 7 cheese and 7 35ml wines. However, we feel that the wines were much more generous than advertised. We were served by Yannis who made the whole experience even more amazing. He was really friendly, funny and informative. After the first wine was served, we went on a short tour of the winery which was complimentary. The tour was really interesting and good fun. The wines were superbly matched with each cheese and the atmosphere of the whole winery was gorgeous. We were here to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary and Yannis poured us some extra wine to celebrate, this was a lovely touch.
The experience is advertised as 90 minutes long however we took just over two hours and were not rushed which was lovely.
The winery is just outside of the busy centre of Fira and it was nice to step away from the centre for a little bit.
Would 100% recommend.

Really loved our wine tasting experience! Both the wines and the food were incredibly delicious. Our host Lefteris made us feel special and did an amazing job explaining all the wines as well as giving us a wonderful tour around the cellar.
A must do activity when you’re visiting Santorini!
