I stumbled upon this walking into town. An old Venetian merchants house from the 19 the century that survived the earthquake. Charming but gives insight into the times.

Small, yet interesting museum, located in a historical mansion near the Catholic cathedral. Its main theme is local and Greek history, with a particular focus on the time period that begins with the early modern era. I particularly enjoyed seeing the 18th century (or older!)...More

We sought this place out and was not disappointed. Great pictures of the earthquake from 1956 and very old records of the dealings of the people on Santorini.

This museum houses many photos of Santorini before the 1956 earthquake and after. There are also old photos and pictures depicting the way they dressed in the past. It takes a short time to see it all but worth the time.
