We did the Island tour with Billy, on our first day on the island. It was a wonderful introduction to Santorini, really well paced with lots of useful tips and info - a very well put together itinerary, which helped us to decide what we wanted to do with the rest of our time on the island as well as being a fun day itself. Billy is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and great company. Because we enjoyed the tour so much, we booked another - the winery tour, with Lefty. That too was excellent and Lefty, again, was a superb knowledgeable and friendly guide / sommelier.

Quality experience from start to finish. Prompt pickup from our hotel in air conditioned minivan. Lefti (apologies if spelling is incorrect!) our driver, tour guide and sommelier for the day was hospitable, informative and knowledgeable about the, island, its history and its wines. We packed three vineyards into the tour over four and a half hours, Estate Argyros, Hatzidakis and Domaine Sigalas. All served their unique wines in different surroundings, modern tasting rooms, a cave and an outdoor terrace amongst the vines. Thanks to Blue Shades of Greece and especially to Lefti for a wonderful experience which has left us with fond memories of our visit to Santorini. The food pairings were tasty and complimented the wines wonderfully.

I would highly recommend Blue Shades of Greece. Lefteris was our tour guide, and he was just superb from start to finish. Extra points, too, since he is also our driver! He basically "sold" Santorini to us - by making sure we knew about the history of the sights and answering questions. There were even times when he would say kalimera to some of the folks on the way, which is great so we know we're not getting lost! He took our family pictures, and went above and beyond by using the panoramic feature of the iPhone - very nicely done. He gave us great recommendations for lunch and tips on how to shop for souvenirs as well. Part of the tour was the wine tasting - and the view at Venetsanos Winery is worth visiting! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly as well. We visited Akrotiri, which is a dream come true for me, since I only see it in history books. It's great to see it up close. Lefteris had a lot of words of wisdom during the trip, but the most memorable one to me was when we were taking pictures - "we have the best camera in front of us, our eyes, and the best memory card - our minds!" Thank you. If we ever go back to Santorini, I want another tour from Blue Shades of Greece - they're that good!

Thank you so much for your kind words. It means a lot to us and personally me that you enjoyed your time with Blue Shades. We want our guest, when they visit the island, to get a small beautiful piece of it in their heart and keep it as an unforgetable memory. We give a piece of our selfs too so people can truly feel, that they have a friend on the island that he is just showing them his home. We wish you the best in your life. Its a small world we live in, and hopefully we will meet again. My warm regards.

Our travel agent recommended Blue Shades of Greece and it was hands-down the best recommendation of our entire trip! There is so much to see in Santorini, and this was an incredible way to see the major sites while also visiting some areas we never would have noticed. I'd recommended doing this toward the beginning of your time in Santorini - and then make some notes re: areas you want to return to. Billy, our guide, was a warm, incredibly knowledgeable guy. And the most amazing thing happened toward the end of our trip: we walked past a couple on the pathway who stopped and said "Hey! You're Billy!" They'd taken a tour with him the year prior and he'd left such a positive impression they stopped him to say hello and thank him again for an amazing tour. The praise doesn't get much higher than that! Thank you, Blue Shades team!
