A lovely cruise around the caldera

We booked this cruise to start in Ammoudi Port, below Oia. We arrived simultaneously with the boat, hopped on and Captain Stathis took us across to the island of Thirasia where we got gyros and souvlaki to eat onboard as we tooted about the caldera. It was lovely. First we passed Palea Kameni [the "old" volcano crater, but not the... More

We found Stathis the day prior at the Port with his boat and booked a 6 hour trip for the following day. We had the boat to ourselves (6 of us) with Stathis as our captain. This was one of the highlights of our trip to the Greek Islands. We started with a trip to the volcano before it got... More

We booked to do this tour based on the reviews on trip advisor (mostly excellent) and were not disappointed. We came in by cruise liner and had booked Stathis in advance. We arrived at 7am and there he was waiting for us at the dock. We were whisked off to Oia and got there before the cruise crowds arrived. Walked... More

We were 3 children and 4 adults. Our family loved our private motor boat. It was shaded and we went to isolated areas to see a ship wreck and to swim in the world famous hot springs. We booked 2 hours. Nikko was amazing, gave the children goggles and life jackets. We just got back to our ship. Also the... More

We had a lovely day out with Captain Stathis and his son. They are both very kind and helpful. Our cruise ship tender took us to Fira where our boat was waiting for us. We sailed to Amoudi where we took a minibus up to Oia, where we spent a couple of hours. On our return to Amoudi, we got... More

Captain Stathis is a lovely man who is kind and gentle. I reserved a 2 hour trip around the caldera for our family with a stop or two to take a quick swim. I did not want to visit the volcano but I wanted to experience Santorini from the water. We met the Captain in Ammoudi after we had lunch... More

This was a lovely day out. We took the boat around to Armeni harbour where a bus was waiting to take us up to Oia. Lovely though it was, 5 hours was too long to spend there. We then went across to the hot springs, but be warned - it's no good if you aren't a strong swimmer. After the... More

Capt Stavis was very nice, knowledgeable about the caldera area, accommodating, took us to walk on Nea kameni, and then dropped us off at the old port Fira

Stathis Xagoraris owns two boats called Anemos which can take Santorini cruise port visitors up the coast to Oia—the famous postcard town with white-washed, blue domed houses and fabulous views. Having read how difficult it is to get up the cliff right above the port (either by mule or small cable cars with long waiting time), I was glad I... More

One of the stopovers on our cruise was in Santorini. We joined a tour organised by one of the passengers on the cruise with Captain Stathis. According to the organiser, Captain Stathis replied to her emails promptly and we had a fabulous day. There were so many of us wanting to do this tour that we had to do it... More
